Injuries were the theme of the 2018 season along the Washington offensive line.Nine different offensive linemen played at least 200 offensive snaps for the team as they mixed and matched on a weekly basis to fill out the unit. One of the biggest losses was right guard Brandon Scherff Dwayne Haskins Jersey White , who was lost for the year at midseason to a torn pectoral muscle.Scherff said this week that he feels he is back to about 90 percent and expects to be “ready to go” in time for training camp.“I think it was just a fluke injury,” Scherff said, via the team’s website. “My arm got caught in a weird position, and my pec popped. There’s nothing you can really train for that injury, but it’s all about getting stronger and eating healthier — I’ve been doing that a lot better — and just not worrying about [the injury]. Just going out and playing football.”Washington has to figure out its starting quarterback for the 2019 season, but life will be better for whoever gets that job if the team’s able to field a consistent offensive line this time around. With the addition of Stanford running back Bryce Love in round four Wes Martin Jersey , Washington now has four tailbacks who have suffered torn ACLs. What that means for 2019 isn’t clear, as evidenced by running back Derrius Guice‘s reaction to the selection of Bryce Love.Guice’s choice of emoji suggests that he’s speechless or confused. given that Guice’s rehab is reportedly “coming along a little slower,” and given that pre-draft video of Love working out looks like it was sped up to mask the possibility that he’s not where he needs to be.Meanwhile, Adrian Peterson (who tore an ACL in 2011) has a two-year, $5 million deal with another $3 million in incentives. That gives him a very strong incentive to hold off the youngsters and to continue to be the guy.Washington also has Chris Thompson Womens Bryce Love Jersey , who tore an ACL in college. Through it all, Samaje Perine continues to be overlooked. Perine, who had a 427-yard rushing game while at Oklahoma, appeared in only five games last year. As a rookie, he had 603 yards in 16 games — but he averaged only 3.4 yards per carry.

The Bears will be in London to face the Raiders this October and one of the team’s defensive linemen is in the city now as part of a tour in advance of this year’s four games in the United Kingdom.Akiem Hicks has visited with fans Womens Antonio Brown Jersey , toured the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium where the Bears will play and checked out prospects doing drills in hopes of landing spots in the NFL Academy with more events on the calendar before he returns to the U.S.While all of that is going on, Hicks is also taking some time to think about how the experience might benefit the Bears come October.“The beautiful thing about this is I get to go back to Chicago and impart this wisdom upon everybody that hasn’t been over to this game before,” Hicks said, via the Chicago Tribune. “And I can tell them how you might feel a little jet-lagged when you first get here. Work on your sleeping patterns. Things such as that. Even though the purpose of this event is to enjoy the fans here and allow them to hang out and experience this, it’s going to be beneficial to us because now I can tell guys back home what it feels like and maybe things we can do to perform better when we get here.”The Bears last played a game in London in 2011, but current members of the roster have played in London games with other teams. Head coach Matt Nagy was also there with the Chiefs in 2015 and defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano was the Colts’ head coach when they lost to the Jaguars at Wembley Stadium the next year. It was set up to be a minor league of sorts for the NFL. And it positioned itself during a time we wouldn’t otherwise have football to watch. The players who joined the AAF were also excited about an opportunity to get back in the sight lines of the NFL so they could prove they belonged on a squad. Two months in, the big hopes of the league collapsed. And with it, hundreds of professional football players would be out of a job and literally on the street. There were several former Raiders who joined the AAF. One of them was Oni Omoile who spent two years with the Raiders in 2016-17. You might recall he is the cousin of former Raiders All Pro guard Kelechi Osemele. Omoile would never get the chance to see game action for the Raiders and over the past couple years has bounced his way around practice squads for several teams trying to earn his way in.Then the AAF came calling, and the journeyman lineman saw it as his best chance yet to get on the field as a professional player and was allocated to the Memphis Express. With the collapse of the league Antonio Brown Jersey White , I got Omoile onto the Silver & Black Pridecast to discuss his football career and his experience with the AAF during its brief existence. It was an eye opening interview.“I felt like it was a solid opportunity to see some playing time, because outside of preseason I hadn’t really seen any action at all. Plus I’d be earning a decent amount of money. AAF contract were probably comparable per game to NFL practice squad contracts so the money wasn’t bad, so that helped push my decision to go to that league,” said Omoile.“I don’t regret it, I just hate how it all ended.”The ending was abrupt and cold. of the players and they were on their own. That includes those players who were dealing with injuries sustained in games. Omoile was among those players dealing with an injury.“Our last game we ended up playing against the [Orlando] Apollos,” Omoile recalled. “I was actually slated to start that game, but towards the end of the first quarter I took a shot to my jaw. . . they took me in and diagnosed me with a mild concussion. “The couple days after the game I was just at home, I couldn’t really go outside because the light was bothering me too much. And then Tuesday I go in for my daily checkup and I didn’t even... one of my friends tweeted it to me how the league was suspending operations. I was confused about that, so I went back to the facility and I see everyone getting out of meetings. I guess they had just told them the league was shutting down football operations. And then I was told we had to leave by the following morning Bo Jackson Jersey White , that we couldn’t stay at our hotels anymore. Some people had their stuff thrown out of their rooms into the hotel lobby. And one of our guys was from New York and he had to drive 17 hours. I was lucky, I only had to drive like 7 hour, 30 minutes or something, but I was still driving with concussion symptoms, which is very dangerous and I probably shouldn’t have done it, but I felt like I didn’t have a choice so I toughed it out. I ended up making it in one piece, but we weren’t financially compensated for anything. . . guys had to pay for their own flights. It was just very poorly handled and it left a bad taste in my mouth.”Omoile and most of the other players in the AAF have essentially been playing or practicing football nonstop with no break for at least a year. He said after resting up his body he hopes to find his way back into an NFL camp to keep plugging away at finding his way onto an NFL roster.Follow @LeviDamien

The NFC dominated the AFC in interconference matchups this season in a fashion the conference hadn’t done since the first year of the merger. The NFC won 41 of the 64 head-to-head matchups against the AFC Von Miller Jersey White , with the .641 winning percentage being the best for the NFC since going 27-12-1 in 1970 against the upstart AFC for a .688 winning percentage. Since the NFL went to the eight-division format in 2002, this marked just the third time one conference won at least 60 percent of its games against the other conference, with the AFC going 40-24 in 2006 (.625) and 44-20 in 2004 (.688). The NFC won all four division matchups this season, led by the NFC West going 12-4 against the AFC South. The NFC North went 10-6 against the AFC North, the NFC South also took 10 of 16 games against the AFC East, and the NFC East held a 9-7 edge over the AFC West. Cleveland and the Jets were the only teams to go winless against the other conference, while the Rams, Carolina and even last-place Chicago all swept the four games. The discrepancy is easily noted in the playoff race, where three teams with 8-7 records are still in the hunt in the AFC, while Seattle is in danger of missing the playoffs with 10 wins in the NFC. — NO NIGHT GAME: There is not Sunday night game to end the NFL season this year. None of the matchups could guarantee that any night contest would have significance. For example, had Carolina at Atlanta – the best matchup of the 16 games – been switched to the evening and Seattle lost in the afternoon, the Falcons would already have qualified for the offseason. If New Orleans were to beat Tampa Bay in the afternoon, the Panthers would be stuck as the No. 5 seed. Plus, it’s New Year’s Eve, when the viewing audience might not be as big as previous Sundays, and flexing a game to night time on that day might not have made much sense. NBC likely will get some compensation from the league down the road, probably an additional prime-time game next season. But competitively, it seems a wise move to not play Sunday night. ”This is a long-term partnership,” said NBC spokesman Greg Hughes, ”and this was the best decision for the parties concerned here: the NFL the fans and us.” — NUMB TO NUMBERS? Demaryius Thomas isn’t really into numbers, but he knows he’s 108 yards shy of reaching 1,000 receiving yards for the sixth straight season. ”Everybody telling me” is how he keeps track, he said. ”Last week I knew it was 160 because I found out in the meeting. Of course I’m going to remember. I was never a number guy, but hey, that’s a cool thing to know.” Thomas said he’d cherish the accomplishment, especially considering the Broncos this season have cycled through three quarterbacks:- Trevor Siemian, Brock Osweiler and Paxton Lynch Royce Freeman Jersey , who gets his second start Sunday against Kansas City. ”Being able to come out and do that with three different quarterbacks … it says a lot,” Thomas figured. Thomas turned 30 last week, but that’s one number he isn’t worried about. ”Not at all. I don’t even know how old I am,” Thomas said. ”I feel like I’m 20-something. I’m young. I still got the juice, baby. Can’t act like it didn’t happen, but as long as you got the juice, 30 is the new 20 and 50 is the new 30.” — QB RUNS: Carolina’s Cam Newton and Seattle’s Russell Wilson have a chance to join the rare fraternity of quarterbacks to lead their team in rushing for a season. Newton is barely ahead of teammate Jonathan Stewart headed into the season finale, while there is no question that Wilson will end up leading the Seahawks in yards rushing. Newton has 695 yards this season to Stewart’s 680. Wilson has 550 yards rushing, which is 300 yards more than any of Seattle’s stable of running backs, a group that has done very little all season. Chris Carson, who hasn’t played since Week 4, still has the most yards rushing by a Seattle running back with 208. Newton has done this before, leading the Panthers in rushing in 2012. Others QBs who have led their team in rushing include Donovan McNabb with Philadelphia in 2000, and Randall Cunningham for the Eagles in three straight seasons (1988-90). — TEMPORARY ACCOMMODATIONS: Jay Cutler has lived in a hotel near the Miami Dolphins’ complex for the past five months, while his wife and children remained back home in Nashville. It’s a small price to pay for coming out of retirement to sign a $10 million, one-year deal as an emergency replacement for an injured Ryan Tannehill. Cutler’s contract made the long-term hotel stay affordable. ”It was cool at first,” he said. ”Maid service every day, that’s kind of nice. You get the on-demand movies, but they don’t change as often as you would like. It’s kind of a monthly thing. So after you watch them all in a month, you’ve got to wait a little while. ”But it was fine. I wasn’t there that much.” Cutler will start Sunday’s season finale against Buffalo, and it might be his career finale. At any rate, he’ll be ready to check out of the hotel. ”I did get the points,” he said. ”That’ll pay off somewhere down the line, right?” — THE LATER THE BETTER: Dan Quinn wants Falcons fans to party like it’s 2018 at Sunday’s game against Carolina. Quinn celebrated the league’s decision to push the kickoff back from 1 p.m. to 4:25 p.m. because that will give fans more time to get fired up for the game. Quinn says the game atmosphere is better for later starts, and he says that’s a trend he noticed in the Georgia Dome as well as the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium. He used the team’s 20-17 win over the Saints on Dec. 7, a Thursday night game, as an example. ”The later the better John Elway Jersey ,” Quinn said. ”It gives our crowd a little more time to get warmed-up. The fact that it’s at 4:25, to me I think it’s awesome. You really felt their energy in the stadium a couple Thursdays ago when we played, so we’re calling on them again.” Added Quinn: ”We’re making an official declaration New Year’s starts at 4:25.” — WHO’S GOT TICKETS?: Jacksonville Jaguars coach Doug Marrone is getting hounded for tickets – to a road game. And by people who don’t necessarily want to root for the AFC South champion Jaguars (10-5), who play at Tennessee (8-7) on Sunday. ”This game is a little bit different for me more so because of the family stuff,” said Marrone, whose wife, Helen, is a daughter of longtime Middle Tennessee State coach and College Football Hall of Famer Boots Donnelly. ”We are getting calls, `Can we get some tickets to watch Tennessee kick your (butt)?’ From people I know. I hear it.” Marrone and his wife still own a farm in Nashville. But most of their family members are Titans fans. ”It gives me an excuse to not have to go to a lot of family functions,” Marrone said. ”I am not the best family function guy. I am kind of in the corner. Now it is easy. Now it is like, `No, they went to the game and they rooted for the Titans. I am not going to this function.’ There are a couple that are obviously rooting for us, because there are a couple that actually like me.” — AP Pro Football Writers Barry Wilner, Josh Dubow and Arnie Stapleton, and Sports Writers Steven Wine, Charles Odum, Mark Long and Tim Booth contributed. — Pro Football Focus ranks the unit at No. 12 - a huge improvement over its final ranking of 2018." TwitterFacebookRedditPocketFlipboardEmaildenverbroncos.comGood morning, Broncos Country!Pro Football Focus is at it again, but this time its rankings are favorable to the Broncos, so I’m not going to complain - but I will question ;)PFF ranks the Broncos’ offensive line at No. 12 in the NFL, projecting the following starting lineup:Arguably the best thing this offensive line has going for it - besides bringing in Hall-of-Famer Mike Munchak as its position coach - is the two newest players. With the free agency addition of James and the draft pick of Risner, the line will not only be significantly better than last season but also some of the more formidable players for defenders to get around/through this season.PFF called the James’ acquisition a “strong move,” less for any stellar play but specifically for his consistently good play - something highly coveted in the NFL. But it’s the second-round draft pick of Risner that really has this o-line improving over 2018. The former Kansas State guard - and also Wiggins, Colorado, native - held an 87 overall PFF college grade throughout his four years and even hit above 90 in overall and pass-blocking grades during his senior year. That’s why PFF called him the “most intriguing” offensive line change for the Broncos. The biggest hopes will come as former first-round pick Bolles will be expected to make a big jump at left tackle that he has two years under his belt, and Leary will hopefully be able to remain healthy enough throughout the season to keep his guard spot from becoming a turnstile again. But the biggest question mark will undoubtedly be McGovern as coaches and fans will be hoping he has made a gigantic leap in experience and performance over last season’s emergency fill-in at center when Matt Paradis went down with a season-ending injury.Losing Paradis to free agency was one of John Elway’s few mistakes this offseason Womens Joe Flacco Jersey , in my opinion, but I’m hoping McGovern has gotten the necessary chops to make a big jump in his play this season, which will go a long way in predicting how good this offensive line will be.With seven games under his belt and top-notch coaching from Munchak - plus a horrific PFF grade out of the way - McGovern should be able to improve significantly on his sub-39 pass-blocking grade for 2018.Whether this line is a top 12 unit in the NFL is anyone’s guess at this point (c’mon PFF, we know you don’t really have any idea!) but given that it finished 24th overall by PFF’s ranking following Week 17 last season due to a very inexperienced McGovern at center, a mishmash of Elijah Wilkinson and Max Garcia to cover for Leary plus Billy Turner in for Jared Veldheer - it does not seem farfetched that the Broncos’ ranking moves up significantly in 2019. Even if the Broncos have to dip into the reserves with Wilkinson, Chaz Green and Don Barclay, overall the group should be more experienced and with slightly better talent than recent seasons could offer. And in case you’re wondering how the Broncos’ AFC West rivals fare in the rankings, the talent-rich Chargers are likely to suffer behind an offensive line anchored by Russell Okung and Michael Schofield for a 29th overall ranking while the Raiders aren’t much better with a predicted 26th overall ranking. All good news for the Broncos. The Chiefs boast the best line in the division after the Broncos, with a 17th-ranked o-line behind possibly the league’s best right tackle in Michael Schwartz and solid left tackle Eric Fisher. But between you and me, if the Broncos’ line just protects quarterback Joe Flacco long enough to get a decent pass downfield, all of it will be a thrilling improvement.Horse TracksNFL offensive line rankings: All 32 teams’ units entering 2019 | NFL News, Rankings and Statistics | Pro Football FocusPFF’s senior analysts unveil PFF’s 32-team NFL offensive line rankings for the 2019 NFL season.10 Burning Questions for Camp: Who provides cornerback depth?Isaac Yiadom and De’Vante Bausby are two key names in a competition to determine who will be the No. 4 cornerback -- a role that could prove crucial at some point in the season.Broncos announce fan information for free training camp stadium session on Saturday, July 27Season-ticket holders will have early access to tickets at 10 a.m. on Thursday, and the general public will be able to download their free tickets on Friday at 10 a.m.10 Burning Questions for Camp: Who will be the top backups on the offensive line?Seven-year veteran Don Barclay has starting experience at right tackle, right guard and left tackle. While scrolling through Twitter today Montez Sweat Jersey , I came across this piece by JP Finlay talking about how much money the Redskins had wrapped up in the tight end spot...The Redskins are slated to spend $19..."WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections Looks Like Someone Has A Sixpack Of The MondaysDaily SlopRedskins RecapsEDTShareTweetShareShareIs Tight End the Redskins Offensive Missing Link?Brad Mills-USA TODAY SportsWhile scrolling through Twitter today, I came across this piece by JP Finlay talking about how much money the Redskins had wrapped up in the tight end spot...19 million this year alone, and for what? - a guaranteed mysterious toe injury from our starter? - more dropped passes by our back-up?...like this - poor blocking...by all of them?Tight end may be one of the positions the Redskins are hurting at the most on offense - yes, possibly even more than wide receiver. It’s not only the massive amount of money tied up in the position; it’s the limited production.Last year, despite his massive salary, Jordan Reed produced just 558 receiving yards which ranked 15th among tight ends. His two touchdowns tied him with Vernon Davis for the team lead among the position group - which isn’t saying much!Together, Reed and Davis, whose combined 2018 salaries exceeded $15 million, totaled 79 catches for 925 receiving yards and four touchdowns last year. Not bad numbers for one player, right?Throughout his six year career, Reed, who will turn 29 this summer, has never played a full 16-game season. The closest he’s come was in 2015 when he played in 14 games and set career highs in receptions (87), yards (952) and touchdowns (11). He’s never come close to those numbers since, and given his age and injury history, it’s likely he never will. Davis, who up until last year had managed to escape Father Time, had his best year in D.C. in 2017 Dwayne Haskins Jersey , hauling in 43 receptions for 648 yards and three touchdowns. He turned 35 in January, and the clock is just not going back any further. He’s still a great teammate, consummate professional and leader in the community, but he’s not helping this team win many football games. Behind these two vets, the cupboard is bare. Jeremy Sprinkle is a situational tight end who wouldn’t scare most high school defensive coordinators, and JP Holtz and Matt Flanagan are more H-Backs and special teams contributors than complete tight ends. This begs the question - what should the Redskins do at the position? There are a few different options:-First, the team could ride out 2019 with Reed, Davis and Sprinkle and hope to improve via the draft or free agency in 2020.-Second, they could trade a conditional pick in 2020 for a veteran tight end. One name that come to mind is the Vikings Kyle Rudolph (29). Rudolph has had four consecutive seasons of 16 games played. He’s a solid blocker, and still has the ability to stretch the field vertically. He has scored 24 touchdowns in the last four seasons. I would even consider at least inquiring with Baltimore about Hayden Hurst (who seems to have fallen behind Andrews and Boyle on the Ravens depth chart), although they may be reluctant to move the 2018 first rounder.-Finally, the Skins could wait until final roster cuts, and see if anyone they think can help is looking for a job.The Redskins need to improve the tight end position one way or another. How and when they choose to do so could be instrumental for this offense and rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins. ASHBURN, Va. (AP)The Washington Redskins have paired two Alabama defensive linemen in an effort to upgrade their run defense, drafting Daron Payne to join Jonathan Allen in consecutive year first-round picks.Allen showed star potential until a foot injury cut his rookie season short in the fifth game. Four picks ahead of where they got Allen, the Redskins thought it best to roll with another Crimson Tide big man by taking Payne.”The more Alabama guys, the better,” Allen said during Redskins organized team activities on Wednesday. ”I was super excited about. I knew what kind of guy we were getting. I knew he was going to fit in and help us reach our goals.”The Redskins know they must improve their run defense. They finished worst in the NFL last season at 134.1 yards allowed a game – hurt by injuries to Allen and others.Considering how the group performed when Allen was on the field Dwayne Haskins Redskins Jersey , allowing just 88 rushing yards a game, Washington could be in store for a massive upgrade.”(Jonathan) was a key component in the run game and the pass game,” linebacker Preston Smith said. ”He helped collapse the pocket. He helped stop the run. He’s a multi-talented guy.”He is also a healthy guy. Allen, who had 22.5 sacks during his final two seasons at Alabama, deemed himself ”100 percent” and pain-free following Wednesday’s session.”I think he did a great job of rehabbing in the offseason,” defensive coordinator Greg Manusky said of Allen, who had a Lisfranc injury to his left foot. ”We were kind of a little bit hesitant early on when he was here just taking reps and stuff, but looks like he’s just keeps on progressing from where he kind of left off last year. The sky’s the limit for him.”Allen’s presence helped a defensive front that otherwise lacked playmakers. The hope is Payne makes two.Though not in Allen’s class as a pass rusher, Payne’s ferocious work helped spark Alabama’s win for the national title against Georgia. is causing havoc on the Redskins practice field.”I’ve seen Payne these few days of practice being really disruptive in the run game and he can pass rush,” Smith said. ”He’s a really athletic big guy. I don’t know if a lot of people slept on him, but we’re thankful for him, that he was there when we got the chance to draft him. We’re glad to get him.”Now Payne lines up yet again next to his fellow disruptor and friend. Two other former Alabama teammates – outside linebacker Ryan Anderson and rookie inside linebacker Shaun Dion Hamilton – also may contribute along the front seven.Allen sees the defensive line making major moves and genuinely believed the pieces existed for success last season. Now there’s a second Alabama defensive lineman at the point of attack to add to promising holdovers Matt Ioannidis and Anthony Lanier, who are entering their third seasons.”I really think we’re going to be a dominant defense,” Allen said. ”If we can stay healthy and do what I know we can, there’s nothing stopping us.”—

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Drew Brees found a receiver who hadn’t played most of the season to sustain a late touchdown drive. The Saints‘ defense found a way to force two fumbles in the fourth quarter. And New Orleans’ punt-return unit stopped a fake punt less than a yard short of a conversion that might have helped Pittsburgh protect a late lead.Combine that with some good fortune on decisions by the officials Womens T. J. Watt Jersey , and it added up to a third straight fourth-quarter comeback for these charmed 2018 Saints, who’ll finish the regular season as the best team in the NFC.Brees capped a 326-yard passing performance with 2-yard touchdown toss to Michael Thomas with 1:25 left, Sheldon Rankins stripped JuJu Smith-Schuster in the final minute, and the Saints clinched the top seed in the NFC playoffs with a 31-28 victory over the Steelers that dealt a significant blow to Pittsburgh’s playoff hopes.“That’s one thing these guys have done a good job with, coming up with plays when we needed it. We’ve won a lot of different ways this year,” Saints coach Sean Payton said after New Orleans (13-2) reached 13 victories for the third time since he became coach in 2006. “I’m proud of this team. Man, they’ve showed a great resolve — dealt with injuries, dealt with all the adversity you might have in a long season.”Pittsburgh drove into potential tying field-goal range on its final drive, but Smith-Schuster fumbled while landing on Rankins after a short reception and linebacker Demario Davis recovered.“One thing you know about this team is we’re resilient,” Rankins said.Alvin Kamara gained 105 yards from scrimmage and ran for two touchdowns for New Orleans. Receiver Tedd Ginn Jr., playing for the first time since Week 4, caught a 25-yard pass on third-and-20 during the Saints’ go-ahead series. The late rally came after New Orleans kept it close with two crucial fourth-quarter stops. Safety Kurt Coleman forced Pittsburgh’s first fourth-quarter turnover when he stripped Stevan Ridley and defensive end Alex Okafor recovered in Saints territory. The Steelers briefly preserved their four-point lead when L.J. Fort blocked Wil Lutz’s 50-yard field goal attempt with 6:16 left. But New Orleans quickly forced a fourth-and-5 and then stopped upback Roosevelt Nix a yard short of a first down when he took the snap on a fake punt with a little more than four minutes to go.“I just wanted to be aggressive JuJu Smith-Schuster Jersey White ,” Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said. “I like the play.”Ben Roethlisberger passed for 380 yards and three touchdowns for the Steelers (8-6-1), connecting 14 times with Antonio Brown for 185 yards and two touchdowns. Pittsburgh fell into second in the AFC North behind Baltimore and out of playoff position. The Steelers could still win the division with a victory next week and a loss by the Ravens. Their path to a wild card is unlikely at best because it would require Indianapolis and Tennessee to tie. Pittsburgh’s loss also clinched a playoff spot for the AFC South-leading Houston Texans.“We’re playing pretty good football, but it might not matter,” Roethlisberger said. “Obviously we don’t control our destiny anymore. We have to take care of business next week.“You can be as skillful as you want on both sides of the ball and special teams, but there is still a small element of luck involved in football. A play here, a play there. If that’s what it is, I don’t know, but it’s the game of football.”New Orleans went up 24-14 in the third quarter when Kamara dove over blockers at the line of scrimmage, capping a drive highlighted by his career-long 42-yard reception. But the Steelers seized momentum back with a nine-play, 75 yard drive that included three passes to Brown, the last a 3-yard TD toss. Pittsburgh then took a 28-24 led with on its next drive, which again ended with a TD pass to Brown https://www.thesteelerslockerroom.com/authentic-juju-smith-schuster-jersey , who split double coverage by Coleman and Marshon Lattimore for his 20-yard score.FLAG FORTUNEThe Saints’ final scoring drive was aided by a pass interference call on fourth down, marking the third Saints touchdown drive of the game aided by such a call. The first also came on a fourth-down play in the first quarter when Joe Haden placed his hand on Kamara’s back on a pass that appeared overthrown.“I don’t know what they saw. I just tried to jump up and go get the ball,” Haden said. “It’s an offensive game. You can’t touch these guys. … I’m very frustrated.”A play later, Mark Ingram scored from a yard out for his franchise-record 50th rushing touchdown, surpassing Deuce McAllister’s mark set in 2008.KICKING STREAKBefore Lutz had a kick blocked, he made his franchise-record 26th straight field goal, surpassing the Saints mark set by Hall of Famer Morten Andersen during the 1992 and ’93 seasons.BEN AND BROWNRoethlisberger now has 33 TDs passing, breaking his single-season mark of 32 set in 2007 and 2014.Brown clinched a sixth straight season with at least 100 catches — making him the only NFL receiver to do so — and six straight seasons with 1,200 yards receiving. He also has 15 touchdown catches, surpassing his career best.INJURIESSteelers: Nickel cornerback Mike Hilton was examined in the blue tent by team medical staff but returned to action. … Starting linebacker Vince Williams left the game in the second half.Saints: Left tackle Terron Armstead left the game in the first half, returned to action a few series later, but then left the game again for good in the second half. After that Womens James Conner Jersey , Andrus Peat moved to left tackle and rookie Will Clapp took over at left guard.UP NEXTSteelers: Host Cincinnati on Sunday, needing a win to have any hope of advancing to the playoffs.Saints: Finish the season at home against Carolina on Sunday. In 2005, Terrell Owens wanted out of Philadelphia. But he had limited tools for getting what he wanted, relative to what he’d have today. Today, Antonio Brown has social media, and Antonio Brown is using it to support his desire to get out of Pittsburgh. It’s unclear whether it will work, but Brown has been using his Twitter account to ruminate and agitate and instigate, taking aim most recently at quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and coach Mike Tomlin. And that could be Brown’s best weapon, because the Steelers have yet to find a trade partner or otherwise show any concrete willingness to give Brown what he wants. So if the Steelers are thinking about playing hardball with Brown, Brown’s social-media habit could be the thing that gets the Steelers to decide that enough is enough and that keeping Brown around will be more trouble than it’s worth — even if the Steelers eventually will be giving Brown what he wants at a time when the Steelers realize that giving Brown what he wants could be a bad precedent.

Riding a two game winning streak, the Raiders are the heavy home favorites this week. As is the case each week, players and coaches met with the media in preparation for the game. Here are some of the highlights of those conversations.Head coach Jon Gruden on facing the Bengals:“We’ve had tough moments around here. So, we’re familiar with tough moments. We’ve got a lot of respect for the Bengals. You ever heard of the Evansville basketball team? They just went into Lexington and beat the number one team last night. This is pro sports Womens Derek Carr Jersey , this is the national football league. I don’t really care about anybody’s record. I’m very smart, that kind of gets overlooked. But, you know I’m a physical leader. I’m going to give you 110 percent every time I step on the field. I’m a fiery, passionate guy and just always wants to win.”Bengals Head coach Zac Taylor on the Raiders:“Oakland is a tough opponent. Two wins these last two weeks and coming off a mini bye. Third straight home game, so they are doing some good things. We’ve seen a team make a lot of progress in the two years they’ve been there. A team I followed. I’ve got a lot of connections to that staff, obviously we hired two coaches from that staff. So, it’s a team that we’ve always followed closely and they’ve done a nice job in a lot of areas. You look at the offense and they’re really top ten in rushing, they’re doing a great job in passing, third down Womens Bo Jackson Jersey , red zone. Statistically, they’re doing a great job in all areas.Defense, they’ve done a really nice job. Their rushing defense is up there. I know they’ve battled through some injuries, but you can really see a team that’s done some good things and created some momentum for themselves right now.”Quarterback Ryan Finley on the problems the Raiders present:“They are very different in how they’re ran so it will be a good test for us, but very different than last week, which is good. So, a lot more zone coverage, a lot more two-high. So, it gives us an opportunity to take advantage of some stuff that we did in the preseason. I think we’ve got a really good plan, and so it will be exciting.” Follow @Egroat5

Despite an Achilles injury that ended his 2018 season early Womens Bradley Chubb Jersey , Sanders looks to be the leader in the wide receivers room once again." Denver Broncos Roster2019 Denver Broncos Roster Review: Wide receiver Emmanuel SandersNew,11commentsDespite an Achilles injury that ended his 2018 season early, Sanders looks to be the leader in the wide receivers room once again.MDTAfter his 2018 season ended with a torn Achilles tendon, Emmanuel Sanders has been working toward his 2019 comeback, and if you want to see each step of the progress, check his Instagram videos. But the good news is, his recovery is ahead of schedule and the Denver Broncos veteran receiver who was almost a cap casualty during the offseason now looks to be the leader of a young receiving corps.Emmanuel Sanders profileSanders will be the experienced leader of a talented young group that includes Courtland Sutton, DaeSean Hamilton, Tim Patrick, Juwann Winfree Womens Dre'Mont Jones Jersey , et al. The offense is a big question mark for the Broncos in 2019. Joe Flacco will need a reliable target that can make plays and move the chains. Sanders has proven throughout his career that he is capable of both of those things. At first glance, the Broncos may look no better than the 2018 version. The loss of Sanders hurt the team, but it wasn’t the reason Denver was 6-10. Can his return to the field help Denver win a few more games? Will he stay healthy after a pretty serious injury? Can he be a leader on an offense that needs veteran leadership? The GoodOn a team with a lot of youth at skill positions, having a veteran presence can help mitigate some of the growing pains. Sanders can be the guy to lead a young receiving group, and show them what it means to be a wide receiver in the NFL. Sanders has always been a strong route runner, and has great hands. He is a reliable receiver who will layout for a ball, make the right play to keep the chains moving, and create big plays down field.Sanders is one of those players who puts it all on the field. He will always put in the effort, and watching his videos of his rehab shows his commitment to being back on the field as soon as possible. That translates onto the field, where his talents can only serve to be a big help to the offense. The BadAll the negatives for Sanders stem from his age and injury. He has shown the skills and talent to be one of the best receivers in the game. However https://www.broncoslockerroom.com/authentic-drew-lock-jersey , entering his 10th season, coming off an injury that will limit his practice time, could all work against him. Couple that with young receivers who look like they could be ready to make a jump in the upcoming season, and Sanders could be the odd man out.One of the big issues players run into as they get older is they age out of their contracts. Sanders looked like he was going to be a cap casualty earlier in the offseason. While he has avoided being cut, he could find himself on the trading block during the season. What happens will all depend on where the Broncos season is heading.QuotableEmmanuel Sanders’ roster status with the BroncosUnless something drastic happens, Sanders will be on the Broncos roster in his usual starting role in 2019. While he is still not all the way back from injury, he should be good to go for the regular season. He may need some time to get back into the mix, and build chemistry with Flacco, but he should contribute right away. NFL Draft, but according to Todd McShay of ESPN there was no bigger value pick than Drew Lock." Denver Broncos 2019 DraftTodd McShay calls Drew Lock the Broncos best value pickNew Dalton Risner Jersey ,120commentsThe Denver Broncos had themselves a solid 2019 NFL Draft, but according to Todd McShay of ESPN there was no bigger value pick than Drew Lock.MDTThe Denver Broncos 2019 NFL Draft class has been overwhelmingly seen as successful with most NFL Draft grades coming in with the higher of marks. The way John Elway was able to navigate the franchise to pick up starters with the first two picks was impressive, but it was his trade up in the second round to select quarterback Drew Lock that made the most headlines.According to Todd McShay of ESPN, the Broncos trade up in the second round to get Lock was the best value pick of the draft for Denver.I agree every step of the way with McShay here. If Denver had selected Lock with the 10th overall pick then the rug would have been pulled out from under Joe Flacco and the team wouldn’t have had much to work with in terms of additional talent out of this draft. Instead, they picked up an extra second round pick and ended up getting two likely starters in Noah Fant and Dalton Risner before they made the move to get Drew Lock.If Lock pans out and becomes the Broncos starter quarterback for a decade, then we’ll see this value pick come to its full fruition. Even so, if Lock ends up going the Paxton Lynch route then the Broncos really didn’t sacrifice much taking the chance where they did in this draft. All in all it was a good weekend for Broncos fans.

This week the Raiders have set up camp in London preparing to ‘host’ the Chicago Bears on Sunday. The Bears will head across the pond on Thursday with a different starting quarterback than they’ve had for the first four games of the seasonMitchell Trubisky left last week’s contest with a dislocated shoulder injury and all indications are that he will miss the Week 5 clash against the Raiders. Stepping in for him will be backup Chase Daniel. The question is how different the offense will look with Daniel behind center as opposed to Trubisky. Raiders linebacker Tahir Whitehead doesn’t see much to differentiate between the two quarterbacks. “In week four we pretty much saw them stick to the game plan. I think Trubisky and Daniel they’re pretty much the same player. They move pretty well and they have good arms.” says Whitehead. “That system is an Andy Reid system – RPO style Bo Jackson Jersey White , get guys on the edge, got a bunch of crossers…so I don’t see a change.” Are they really so similar? Through three games this season, Trubisky has a 65.1% completion rate for 588 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. His ability to extend the play is an added bonus to the Bears offense as Trubisky is capable of scrambling for yardage when the pocket collapses. However, his inaccuracy and penchant for making bad throws helps defenses get off the field.Daniel is actually appears to be a bit safer option. After replacing Trubisky early into last week’s contest, Daniel completed 22 of 30 passes (73.3%) for 195 yards and a touchdown and helped lead the Bears to a win over a tough Vikings team.Last season when replacing the injured Trubisky, Daniel started in two games. He tallied 515 yards on 69.7% passing with three touchdowns and two interceptions. Those numbers are awfully similar to what Trubisky has done so far through 2019.Suggesting there might be no drop off from a former second overall pick to a former undrafted free agent journeyman might seem a bit odd, but the Bears aren’t a team built to put their wins on the quarterback’s shoulders.“Obviously we’re having more time for Daniel to operate the system. We can expect some slight changes, but as I stated earlier, they’re pretty much the same guy and I think they’re going to run their stuff. They have explosive guys on the outside, some good running backs, solid up front on the offensive line, have the coach calling the plays.” Whitehead adds.“They’re going to run their stuff. I think they feel confident just doing that and feeling like they can go out there and put up a lot of points. So https://www.raiderslockerroom.com/authentic-derek-carr-jersey , it’s really going to fall on us to make sure we go out there and execute out game plan and have 11 guys where they need to be.” Whether it is Trubisky or Daniel taking the snap, the Raiders defense needs to keep the Bears offense in front of them. As mentioned, the Bears love to run short crossing routes and get the ball to their play makers with space to operate. In that aspect, it doesn’t really matter who is throwing the ball. Daniel is not quite as mobile as Trubisky, but he is more than capable of managing a game. You can understand how Whitehead would not be concerned with the differences in the two signal callers. With Vontaze Burfict out, Whitehead must step on at middle linebacker and his focus is on his team. The Raiders need him in the running game as promising rookie running back David Montgomery has been solid through four weeks, but also in the passing game. The Bears have a tendency to check down to the running back, which will fall on the linebackers to take care of.Raiders Film Room: Three ways Raiders finally finished out a win It took four weeks, but Jon Gruden finally squeezed one out for his first win in what felt like “100 years” according to the coach who took off 10 seasons to broadcast on Monday Night Football. The Raiders barely resembled the team that lost 3 straight to start the season.Sunday against the Browns was the first game in 2018 the Raiders failed to score on their first offensive drive. After all its not how a team starts but how the team finishes. This Raider team showed they internalized the message of finishing by doing 3 things for the first time in 2018.Win the turnover battleComing into Sunday the Oakland Raiders were ranked dead last in turnover margin often cited as the most predictable metric for winning games.Their fortunes shifted however and the defense was able to capitalize on the inexperienced Baker Mayfield’s struggle to protect the football.Of course Gareon Conley puts a giant exclamation point on the play by showing excellent reaction time and acceleration to take the interception into the endzone for a defensive touchdown. But before any of that, Marcus Gilchrist makes a solid break on the route forcing Mayfield to attempt a throw into a tight window. Gilchrist does enough here to disrupt the catch while Conley was a beneficiary of being in the right place at the right time. Good to see the former first round pick finish on this rep.Later in the game Mayfield and his center are not on the same page. There could be any number of reasons why or whose fault but its impossible to tell without being in a meeting room.Any team with a rookie quarterback will have these types of plays. The Raiders finished the game +2 in turnovers, intercepting Mayfield twice and recovering 2 fumbles. Spread the wealthThis game was not without its missed opportunities, a few Amari Cooper misfires come to mind.Derek Carr and his receivers however, displayed a new level of chemistry. Each game before the week 4 matchup has “featured” one receiver getting the lion’s share of targets. However week 4 was completely different with Carr connecting for TDs and big plays each with Jared Cook, Amari Cooper Derek Carr Jersey White , and Jordy Nelson all hauling in TD catches. This scoring pass to Cooper is high level execution on the part of Derek Carr.He first scans the left where he sees a cover 2 concept taking away the vertical route to Cook. There is a weak-side linebacker who drops into the zone; creating an opening for the routes on the frontside. Carr decides to steps up in the pocket and come back to the right side.Carr isn’t done moving defenders with his eyes yet.First he sees Amari Cooper running the first of two slants towards the area where the weak-side linebacker vacated his zone. Second Carr glances at the second slant run by Jordy Nelson. This opens up just enough room between the two hook defenders to fit a ball in for a Cooper touchdown. Yes, it does take that level of concentration and execution to score in the NFL.But Derek Carr wasn’t just dazzling defenders with his eyes, he was also shooting lasers like this ball on a rope to Jordy Nelson.Carr recognizes the defense is in cover 2 and looks the middle linebacker off before rifling one to Nelson. So not only did Carr connect with multiple receivers for scores, he showed proved 2 things; his acumen for Gruden’s scheme and his willingness to stand in the pocket and deliver strikes into the teeth of the defense.Third down stopsThe Raiders had plenty of 3 and out drives to start their 0-3 start, but they were mostly in the 1st half of those games. The Bronco’s loss featured a similar element of down to the wire football but this time the Raiders defense was finally ready to make stops when it mattered the most.Through 3 weeks the Raiders defense has almost disappeared in the final minutes allowing teams to run the score up.This week continues its theme of bizarro Raiders because Sunday was the complete opposite. This time the Raiders struggled to get off the field in the 1st half but tightened up in the 4th quarter and overtime when it really mattered the most.No play was more crucial than when the Raiders defense stopped Carlos Hyde short the the first down with less than 2 minutes left to play. There was uproar about the refs giving the game to the Raiders because of this call. But this time the refs got it right as Hyde’s elbow touches down with the ball just inches short of the first down. This stop allowed the Silver and Black to march down the field for the go ahead game tying scores. And in the overtime period, the Raiders defense stepped up in a major way.First Frostee Rucker breaks through the line on a twist for a pressure on Mayfield who throws and errant pass into the dirt. Then Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie vaporizes a hapless receiver who forgot to sit in between zones, luckily the refs pick up their flags and its 3rd and 5.Rashaan Melvin in the play above does a great job to locate his receiver in a scramble drill. It gets more difficult for a defender to stay with the receiver the longer the QB has the ball.Melvin trails the receiver downfield but gains position when Mayfield floats the ball. around for a pass break up the force a punt and what would be the Brown’s last possession of the ball game.ConclusionThe defensive line did a great job of disrupting Baker Mayfield and not just in sacks and pressures.Raiders defensive lineman recorded pass deflections, fumbles, fumble recoveries and sacks on the Browns rookie signal caller. The disruption up front had a huge impact on the game.Marshawn Lynch scored in all 3 losses but fails to score in the Raider’s win.But don’t let the boxscore fool you.Lynch’s runs against the Brown’s set the tone for the intensity the game would be played with.Lynch rumbles to over 100 yards rushing and was the most consistent weapon for the offense. Carr might not have done enough to fully silent his critics but standing tall in the pocket, pushing the ball downfield, and being patient were common complaints associated with Carr. The Raiders QB led his team to a victory despite a slow start. Carr finished the day with 426 yards passing and 4 touchdowns. The referees are getting a lot of slack in this game. But the worst calls were against the Raiders.Arden Key was called for the weakest roughing the passer penalty in recent memory and one ref blew a quick whistle on Marshawn Lynch which really just means the man doesn’t love football.Enjoy some highlights.

How can Von Miller improve under Vic Fangio?" Denver Broncos OffseasonDenver Broncos FilmThe Most Valuable Bronco is Von MillerNew https://www.broncoslockerroom.com/authentic-phillip-lindsay-jersey ,75commentsHow can Von Miller improve under Vic Fangio?MDTHere we are at the conclusion of the inaugural Most Valuable Broncos series. Remember that this is as much art as science, but to be as transparent as possible, I wanted to lay out how I made my list. There are 3 main aspects I considered:1. Value to this year’s team and past performance.2. Positional value3. Salary compared to both past & expected future performance. All three factors are important, but obviously this isn’t an exact science, so I look forward to seeing how Broncos Country disagrees with me.Check out players 45-35 here.Check out players 25-34 here.Check out players 16-24 here.Check out players 7-15 here.Check out #6 here.Check out #5 here.Check out #4 here.Check out #3 here.Check out #2 here. I suspect the conclusion to the MVB isn’t a big surprise, and it shouldn’t be. John Elway’s first selection as general manager has become every bit as good as you could feasibly hope. He’s arguably the best player from the 2011 draft, a near lock for Canton upon his retirement and still going strong at 30-years old. Even the most casual followers of Broncos’ football can tell you how special Von is, so I won’t spend too much time browbeating you with it. He’s among the most dangerous pass rushers in football with a freaky fast first step and exceptional athleticism. As he’s aged he’s continually added moves to his repertoire and will completely embarrass most pass blockers one on one. If the Broncos are going to topple Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, Von will need more of these types of plays against Mitchell Schwartz (71).How can Von improve in 2019?It’s a question that’s lingered in the back of my mind since Vic Fangio said: “I do really believe as good as Von has played, he can play even better,” at his introductory press conference. Miller embraced the comments and looked forward to working with a coaching staff that wanted to help him reach another level. Miller’s weight generated headlines later in the spring when he mentioned the plan to weigh in at 10 lbs heavier than his 2018 playing weight. Since at least Super Bowl 50, he’d been playing around 235 lbs, but mentioned it was time to bulk back up. Two areas come to mind where that the additional weight should certainly help him. The most obvious benefit is to compliment the current strength of Von’s game: his pass rush. So long as the weight doesn’t sap his burst off the line. it should open up additional opportunities to bully an opponent with more force behind his bull rush. There are times last year where Miller worked to spin by an opponent when it would have clearly benefited him to run straight through him. In a similar manner, extra oomph could be a big help on stunts. Take this 3rd and 9 play against the Browns, for instance:Additional weight should only help Von attack interior offensive lineman. Von loops inside to disrupt Mayfield here and gets good push on JC Tretter, in no small part because he catches him unprepared. With a little extra force behind his rush Phillip Lindsay Jersey White , he’s likely to shove the Browns center back into the quarterback. There’s another big area he can improve upon going forward: his his play in space. Fangio dropped Mack and Floyd into coverage on a little over 10% of their snaps last season. For comparison’s sake, Chubb and Miller dropped a little over 5% in 2018, and most of it was the rookie. Pro Football Focus credited Von with just 26 coverage snaps last year. Which makes plays like this one against Baltimore stand out a lot more:Von rarely dropped into coverage last year, but he’ll have to do a better job than this if called upon in 2019. In his defense, it’s hard to completely blame Von for the initial opening Javorious Allen had on the play. Mark Andrews vertical stem works as a sort of pick to keep Miller from running step for step with the running back. Where Von errs is his hesitation as he watches Flacco which hurts his pursuit angle to Allen after the catch. Look for Miller to have a lot more on his plate against the pass under Fangio. Both Mack and Floyd played more than double Von’s coverage snaps last year. So don’t be surprised to see both the Broncos’ edge players asked to drop into the flats, hook zones, or run with receivers on occasion.Additionally, there were scenarios in 2018 where the Bears’ duo were tasked with bumping a receiver before rushing the passer in order to disrupt the route runner’s timing.Mack’s initially steps into Jimmy Graham to slow his burst off the line. How will Fangio’s D help Von and Chubb? One big difference you’ll see with the defense as a whole in 2019 is the coverage shells. Jeff Essary is going over it at length, but it’s important to mention a couple of differences here as they’ll directly impact the pass rushers. The first thing that comes to mind is the additional variety Fangio will throw at opposing offenses. Take this 2018 play in the opener: Team’s could count on the Broncos manning up in critical moments under Vance Joseph. The Broncos made heavy use of Cover 1 in 2018. Broncos ran man coverage on 54.1% of all snaps last year, according to Sports Info Solutions. Only the Patriots ran it more. They also ran almost the entire defense out of a single high safety look, dropping one of the safeties into the box. The Bears meanwhile, played a mix of single and double high. This makes sense as Fangio used man coverage 44.7% of the time, but also ran a heavy dose of match-up zone. If you’re looking to read into it at length I strongly advise following this jump, but my oversimplified summary is that it’s zone coverage that looks a lot like man. It’s where pass defenses are moving to adapt to the spread and air raid influence permeating through the NFL. It’s more adaptive than traditional spot dropping: there will be real answers to pick plays that have long plagued the Broncos. It should also help against teams that run a lot of jet motion such as the Rams, and Chiefs. Sturdier coverage should help the pass rush immensely, as they’ll have more time to get to the quarterback. As I’ve mentioned last week Womens Phillip Lindsay Jersey , sack numbers are hard to predict because of so many mitigating factors. I wouldn’t be disappointed in the least if Chubb and Von’s sack numbers are down from 2018 if it means there’s more interceptions and punts. It goes beyond traditional stats, but disruption IS production. Fangio’s scheme should help the entire front 7 to see far more opportunities to sow chaos.Miller (26) is behind only Terrell Suggs (33) on the active forced fumble list. He came into the league 8 years after the Cardinal. ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP)Denver Broncos running back De’Angelo Henderson is recovering from minor shoulder and ankle injuries he sustained over the weekend when his Jeep was hit by a driver fleeing police in a stolen vehicle.KCNC-TV in Denver reported that a 36-year-old woman was in custody after she allegedly struck several vehicles while evading police Saturday night in Parker, Colorado, sending four people to the hospital, where they were held overnight.page Monday and called it ”the most traumatic event I’ve probably ever had to deal with.” He thanked the Parker Police Department and South Metro Fire Rescue as well as the doctors who treated him at Parker Adventist hospital. He said he was ”T-boned, airborne, flipped, and rolled” in the accident but was able to get himself out of his damaged Jeep and suffered only ”minor injuries with a few scrapes and bruises.””I’m very grateful and humbled to be alive,” Henderson wrote. ”… My thoughts and prayers are with the other victims and I hope they are all safe and doing well.”Team spokesman Patrick Smyth said Henderson was back at team headquarters Monday preparing for next week’s on-field work in which the offense and defense will square off for the first time this offseason.Henderson will compete with Devontae Booker and rookie Royce Freeman for carries in the Broncos’ backfield this season.Henderson was the star of training camp last summer but was buried on the depth chart behind C.J. Anderson, Jamaal Charles and Booker last season, when he had just seven carries and two catches, one of which went for a touchdown.—

Bruce Allen and offensive tackle Trent Williams may or may not have a fractured relationship. The team president either wasn’t asked or didn’t answer a question about their relationship Tuesday night during an appearance at the team’s annual “Celebration in the End Zone.”Williams remains a holdout Montez Sweat Jersey , sitting out training camp.Allen allowed that ice has not thawed, Michael Phillips of the reports.Allen didn’t say much more, other than the team still wants him on the field this season.“Training camp is going on,” Allen said, via Phillips. “We’re doing well, and we’d love to have Trent here.”Washington signed veteran Donald Penn to bolster its depth at the position. Allen said the team still hopes to get Williams back.“We like Donald; Donald had a good workout,” Allen said. “But we still want Trent.” It was a fun night in the basement, made even more fun by the presence and TRUTH of Shawn Springs."The storm knocked out our video capabilities last night (hey, it’s a basement operation, and these things happen) Dwayne Haskins Redskins Jersey , but nothing was going to stop us from sipping whiskey and talking about what we all seem to think was a hell of a draft for the Washington Redskins. I felt the need to call in Shawn Springs—who knows this young man very well—to help us understand more about the player we will be watching for years to come.Kevin McLinton, aka “Juice” (one of my co-hosts on The HotBox, son of the all-time Redskins great Harold “Tank” McLinton and an all-time great himself from the University of Maryland) joined Kevin Ricca, Tim Strachan and myself to talk Redskins, the draft and some NBA Playoffs (we stayed almost exclusively Redskins/football for the first 30-35 minutes). We were without our starting shooting guard last night, Darren McLinton. Froghorn had a family birthday last night, so we spread his touches around equitably. (On the floor, if you pass to Darren, it will be the last time you touch the ball on that possession https://www.theredskinslockerroom.com/authentic-dwayne-haskins-jersey , but on the mics, Froghorn is as generous as it gets.)What seemed like a few cringe-worthy moments early on in the show turned out to be healthy doses of reality/realism from a former player who understands his sport very well. We all expected Shawn to tell us the Redskins should put Dwayne on the field on day one, but we were pleasantly surprised to hear a different take. It’s always a fun night when we get to mix it up with the pride of Springbrook High School, and we look forward to our next brown paper bag night with him in the basement! Thanks for giving us a listen, and we’ll be back on our YouTube Channel next Tuesday night. It’s a free subscription, y’all, and a great way to spend your morning or afternoon commute (in my humble opinion).
