Leo Vincent added 17 points, Armon Fletcher 16 and OBrien 15 for the Salukis.Stark finished with 29 points on 9 of 21 shooting from the field and 10 of 11 from the line for Murray State (3-4). Los Angeles Lakers Store .B. -- The Baie-Comeau Drakkar took over sole possession of first place atop the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League on Thursday with their sixth straight win. MADISON, Wis. -- A fourth-quarter flourish erased memories of a jittery first half for No. 6 Wisconsin against Minnesota. The latest installment of the most-played rivalry in major college football ended with a familiar scene: the Badgers triumphantly holding up Paul Bunyans Axe.Corey Clement ran for two fourth-quarter touchdowns and a big-play defense pitched a second-half shutout in a 31-17 win over the Golden Gophers to keep the trophy for a 13th straight season.Wisconsin (10-2, 7-2 Big Ten, No. 5 AP) turned in a stalwart defensive effort in the second half after getting outplayed early and falling behind by 10 points at halftime. In the fourth quarter we just kind of just locked in, cornerback Sojourn Shelton said after the ceremonial chopping down of the goal posts with the axe. You know what, no more. The rest speaks for itself. The comeback served as the exclamation point for an already big weekend. The Badgers wrapped up the Big Ten West and a trip to next weeks league title game after Nebraska lost to Iowa on Friday night. The Badgers will face Penn State in Indianapolis.Tomorrow well push the reset button and get ready to play Penn State, coach Paul Chryst said. This team has done a great job of playing in the moment.Mitch Leidner threw four interceptions in the second half for Minnesota (8-4, 5-4). The protection around him crumbled as the Badgers mixed up their defensive pressures.Im pretty (angry.) I dont know how else to describe it, Leidner said. He finished 9 of 26 for 158 yards with a touchdown. On offense, Wisconsins running game finally caught up in the fourth quarter.Jazz Peavy went 71 yards on a jet sweep down the right sideline to the Minnesota 11. Two plays later, Clement bowled into the end zone from 2 yards to give Wisconsin the lead for good, 24-17, with 6:42 left.Certainly the takeaways were huge, and the ability of our offense to finish in the second half, Chryst said.It was the 126th meeting in a series that dates to 1890.THE TAKEAWAYMinnesota: The rough fourth quarter overshadowed a terrific first half for Minnesota. Leidner threw off the Badgers active defense early with keepers around the edges, including his scoring run late in the first half. Leidner also had 46 yards rushing on 16 carries. But the interceptions shifted momentum.ddddddddddddMost of the time he was trying to do too much, coach Tracy Claeys said about Leidners picks.A five-win season in the Big Ten, even with a softer schedule, is a confidence builder for the future. But the Gophers still cant catch up to their biggest measuring stick.Wisconsin: The Badgers had perhaps their worst first half of the season, with Minnesota following Wisconsins blueprint for success. The defense missed key tackles, and the running game couldnt get going. Left-handed starting quarterback Alex Hornibrook departed after taking a shot to his right shoulder following an incompletion near the sideline late in the second quarter. Hornibrook then fell to the turf, with the back of his helmet slamming hard into the ground.Chryst had no update on Hornibrook after the game. Backup quarterback Bart Houston played the entire second half and finished 9 of 14 for 123 yards.POLL IMPLICATIONSWith No. 3 Michigan losing in double overtime to No. 2 Ohio State, Wisconsin could move up a spot or two in the next poll.TURNING POINTShelton, a four-year starter playing in his last home game, had two interceptions. The senior had an entertaining 40-yard, across-the-field return to the Minnesota 19 after his first interception with about 13 minutes left.Shelton said he guessed that Minnesota would run a comeback route.I just took a risk and went for it, Shelton said.Clement scored his first touchdown of the game three plays later to tie it at 17.CATCHING ONFor Minnesota, Drew Wolitarsky had four catches for 76 yards, including a 35-yard reception after tipping the ball to himself and advancing to the Wisconsin 22 late it the second quarter. It set up Leidners 3-yard touchdown run with 53 seconds left for a 17-7 halftime lead.UP NEXT:Minnesota: Awaits its bowl destination. The Gophers will play in its fifth consecutive bowl game, tied for longest streak in program history.Wisconsin: Plays No. 7 Penn State in the Big Ten championship game Dec. 3 in Indianapolis.---More AP college football: www.collegefootball.ap.org and https://twitter.com/AP-Top25---Follow Genaro Armas at: https://twitter.com/GArmasAP ' ' '

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- The Anaheim Ducks seek sole possession of first place in the Pacific Division, and keep the injury-depleted Los Angeles Kings from securing a share of the top spot, when the cross-town rivals meet Sunday at the Honda Center. The Ducks, who have won five of their past seven games, took over first place Thursday night with a 3-2 victory over the New Jersey Devils. But the Edmonton Oilers moved into a tie for first by beating the Dallas Stars on the road Saturday night. So going into Sundays game, the Ducks and Oilers lead the Kings by two points.Enhancing the intensity of Sundays game is the fact that Anaheim won 12 of the previous 16 against Los Angeles, including a 4-0 rout at the Staples Center in the teams first meeting this season Nov. 1.Its probably one of the best rivalries Ive ever played in, Ducks center Ryan Kesler told NHL.com. Its always a fun game to play. Every game is hard-fought.Kesler figures to play a pivotal role. The 13-year veteran, who scored seven of his team-high eight goals this month, needs one more to establish a personal record for November. Regarded as one the NHLs best defensive forwards, Kesler also will be expected to stifle the Kings top two centers, Anze Kopitar and Jeff Carter. His value gets increased if its a Kopitar or a Carter, Anaheim coach Randy Carlyle said about Kesler to the Los Angeles Times. As a coach, you feel comfortable playing him against those players. In big games, Kes has a way to step up to the next level. He always seems to have a little bit more to give you.Like Anaheim, the Kings take a two-game winning streak into Sundays game. Unlike the Ducks, however, Los Angeles has been playing without key contributors. Right winger Marian Gaborik has yet to appear for the Kings after breaking his foot while competing for Team Europe in the World Cup of Hockey. Kopitar, the Kings captain, missed the past four games with a wrist injury and remains day-to-day.With Kopitar out, Carter has become Los Angeles biggest offensive threat. Carter leads the team with seven goals and 14 points, including five goals and nine points in his past eight games.Jeff has carried the team on his back, Los Angeles coach Darryl Sutter told LAKingsinsider.com after Saturdays 4-2 victory against New Jersey. Every time he was on the ice, he either had the puck or was making sure we were going to get the puck back. Hes shown a lot of leadership and has been a really, really good player for us.But the Kings biggest loss has been in the nets. Jonathan Quick, a finalist for last seasons Vezina Trophy, has not played since injuring his groin Oct. 12 in the season opener against the San Jose Sharks. Quicks backup, Jeff Zatkoff, missed 11 games because of his own groin injury. Zatkoff made his first start in 3 1/2 weeks Nov. 11 in Ottawa but pulled himself after two periods. In their place, Peter Budaj has provided stability. The 34-year-old veteran has played in 17 consecutive games (15 starts) and amassed nine wins while compiling a 2.11 goals-against average.Until this year, Budaj had not played a full NHL season since 2013-14, when he appeared in 24 games for the Montreal Canadiens. He spent the past two seasons in the AHL and played only one NHL game for the Kings last season. Winning gold felt good -- awfully good -- even if everyone in the arena knew this U.S. gymnastics team was simply too good to lose. This was the U.S. basketball team -- men or women -- crushing an opponent by 50 points. This was Michael Phelps lapping the field in the relay. It was just like another competition for us, said 19-year-old Madison Kocian. It didnt even feel like the Olympics. What might be the most superb collection of gymnasts ever put together -- led by Simone Biles, a teenager who may one day be crowned the greatest gymnast ever -- put on the show the sport had been waiting for Tuesday in a performance that was over almost by the time Laurie Hernandez finished the first vault. In a sport usually decided by the smallest of margins, the U.S. women obliterated the competition, finishing a whopping 8 points ahead of the silver medalist Russians. They did it by winning every discipline, finishing it off when Biles bounded to a finish in the floor exercise that by then had been rendered meaningless. Two of the members of the self-titled Final Five won gold medals for their second Olympics in a row. The three others pocketed their first, though there should be others to come before everything is wrapped up a week from now in Rio.They did it for themselves and they did it for their country. They did it for national team coordinator Martha Karolyi, who is retiring after her final Olympics and enjoys fierce loyalty from her charges. But they also did it for each other, for the long hours spent training and living together as they were molded into an Olympic team to behold. It is the hardest sport in the world and we make it so easy. At least thats what people tell us, Biles said. The pride we show on the floor is really genuine. This is a team so deep that Gabby Douglas -- the spectacular star in London four years ago -- was a mere role player, going out for only a turn on the uneven bars. She sat, legs crossed, just watching as her teammates warmed up for the finnal floor performance.ddddddddddddLater she stood, fingering the gold medal she will add to the two she won in London. It never gets old, Douglas said. Its so refreshing. It doesnt feel different. It feels the same. Going out there and competing with these amazing girls and standing on that podium, it feels the same. Many on the team will now have to compete with each other as medals will be awarded in the individual events and the all around. Led by Biles -- who has a legitimate shot at making Olympic history with five gymnastic golds -- they could win them all.Theyre all part of a team so good it had to have a name. The Final Five is a tribute to both Karolyi in her last Olympics and the fact that in Tokyo four years from now the teams will be limited to one less member. For Biles, the Olympic debut couldnt have gone any better. The 19-year-old is a three-time world champion and so dominant that she is a prohibitive favorite in her remaining four events, but still had to deal with the realization this is the worlds biggest stage.I slept OK, I had some weird dreams, she said. The moment we all woke up we were so happy and so excited. Weve trained so hard for this. We expected to hit all our routines and be very confident because we did it in practice.Cool under pressure, they delivered what everyone expected and they delivered it in style. Thanks to NBCs heavy coverage of their sport, they were introduced in prime time to America and America has to like what it sees. There might be some tears later, maybe after everyone is done. For now, though, these are terrific athletes in search of more than just a team gold. That doesnt mean they arent happy, even if they find it a bit difficult to describe just how happy they are.I havent found the word yet, Biles said. I need a dictionary.----Tim Dahlberg is a national sports columnist for The Associated Press. Write to him at tdahlberg(at)ap.org or http://twitter.com/timdahlberg ' ' '

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow faces a major step up in competition on Tuesday in his pursuit of a baseball career.Tebow, after playing three games in the fall instructional league in Florida, is set to bat seventh and start in left field for the Scottsdale Scorpions at 3:35 p.m. ET at Camelback Ranch in his Arizona Fall League debut. The league is for top prospects on the brink of a major league career and a handful of players who already have debuted in the big leagues, including teammates Greg Bird of the Yankees and Gavin Cecchini of the Mets.Tebow signed a minor league deal with the Mets for $100,000 last month.Youre talking about a guy who has won a Heisman Trophy but also been cut four times. I think he knows what the challenge is, said Scottsdale manager Tom Goodwin, who also is the first-base coach for the Mets. I think hes up for the challenge. Im definitely looking forward to putting him out there. Its a huge jump for him, but I dont think its anything he cant handle. I know hes looking forward to it. And I think a lot of people out there are looking forward to seeing what he has and what he can do.As Tebow said, I think it will give me a good idea where Im at.Tebow homered on his first pitch in the instructional league. It was the first pitch he had faced in a game since his junior year of high school. He ultimately hit .286 (4-for-14) with two RBIs and two walks in three games. In his Arizona Fall League debut, Tebow is due to face Washington Nationals right-handed prospect Austin Voth. Voth, a University of Washington product, went 7-9 with a 3.15 ERA in 27 appearances (25 starts) at Triple-A Syracuse this past season. So much of the pressure is taken away because I get to go out here and pursue something that I love, that Im passionate about, Tebow said. Ive always been a believer that perfect love casts out all fear. So when youre scared about something, remember why youre doing something, why you love it. And have that mindset and approach. Why is failure the worst thing? I know sometimes it gets talked about that it is. But, in my opinion, regret is the worst thing, followed by not trying. And a lot of times, those go hand in hand. So, for me, when I do something, I want to go all-out for it. I can look back in 20 years and if I wasnt good enough, I wasnt good enough.Tebow will continue with his SEC Network and ESPN football broadcasting responsibilities, so he will miss Friday and Saturday games. The Arizona Fall League is dark on Sundays. So Goodwin will have Tebow play as many games as the ex-quarterbacks body allows midweek.Tebow has the Alabama-Tennessee game this weekend in Knoxville, and he suggested there is no awkwardness with leaving new teammates. They totally understand it, Tebow said. And its also an obligation for me. For me, when I give my word about something, I want to fulfill it.There is considerable buzz for Tebows participation in the Arizona Fall League. The Scorpions averaged 504 spectators per home game last season at Scottsdale Stadium. The stadium can accommodate 9,700 fans, including lawn seating. The team expects a serious attendance bump, like when NBA star Michael Jordan played for the club in 1994 and league attendance for the season nearly tripled, to more than 100,000.Jordan hit .252 (31-for-123) with 34 strikeouts in the Arizona Fall League. Of course, Jordan already had played a full season at Double-A Birmingham. Tebow, on the other hand, essentially has not played baseball since high school, except for a few weeks of training at the Mets complex in Port St. Lucie, Florida. That Arizona Fall League tune-up was cut short a few days by Hurricane Matthew.Jordans someone that was extremely talented -- everything he did, Tebow said. I think what you hear most about him on the baseball field was his effort and what a good teammate he was. Thats something I obviously want to bring, as well.Tebow readily acknowledged competing in the Arizona Fall League will be a great challenge.I think it will be awesome, he said. I think it will not only will be a challenge as far as competing, but also, I think it will be blessing as far as learning from a lot of guys that are doing it at a high level -- a lot of them getting ready to be at the highest level. So thats great. Its a great opportunity for me. Im thankful and also looking forward to it. Cheap Air Max 95 Wholesale . "It doesnt get any better than that," Giambi said. "Im speechless." The Indians are roaring toward October. Giambi belted a two-run, pinch-hit homer with two outs in the ninth inning to give Cleveland a shocking 5-4 win over the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday night, keeping the Indians up with the lead pack in the AL wild-card race. McCarthy, a player who played some games in the second tier for Wigan at the start of this season, would go on to shine inside Evertons midfield, outplaying the man he was brought in to replace, on one of the grandest stages in English football. On Saturday, it was fitting that Manchester Uniteds most recent dagger into the chest was delivered by Frenchman Yohan Cabaye, a wonderfully gifted central midfielder who put on an outstanding effort for Newcastle at Old Trafford. Even with his WWE career behind him and a new opportunity in mixed martial arts in his future, Alberto Rodriguez expects to continue his pro wrestling career on a part-time basis until 2018, when he plans to retire.Best known as?Alberto Del Rio?during two stints with the WWE (and on the independent circuit as Alberto El Patron), Rodriguez told ESPN.com that he has adopted a new persona, Alberto El Presidente, to coincide with Tuesdays?announcement of his hiring as president of the Hispanic-aimed MMA promotion Combate Americas.Rodriguez, 39, came to a mutual agreement for his release from the WWE on Sept. 9, less than one month after he was suspended 30 days for an undisclosed talent wellness policy violation. That brought an end to his second stint with the company, which began in October 2015. He originally competed in WWE from 2010 to 2014, before he was fired following a backstage confrontation. The four-time WWE world champion said he has no regrets about the way his final year played out. You cant force a company to use you the way you think that you are supposed to be used, he said. Although he admits WWE ultimately broke promises to him regarding his characters push, hes excited about moving on to bigger and better things. At the end of the day, you have to go to that company to make a big name for yourself, Rodriguez said. I am always going to be grateful with those guys for giving me a name, for putting me out there so I can show my talent to the world. But I am also not happy with what they were doing with me and what they were not doing with me at the end of my days with that company.Lucky for me, I have the opportunity to change it. It was my decision. I chose to be in bed with WWE. Its just that I decided not to stay there anymore because I was unhappy with the situation.Rodriguez, who said WWE did everything in its power to keep him, took stock of his standing within the company and realized he wasnt willing to stay one more year. He admits that hes fortunate enough to have the means and flexibility to make that kind of decision in a spot where others arent quite so lucky.Unfortunately, there are a lot of people in that company who have no other option, Rodriguez said. They have to stay there because either they have no place to go or [WWE] doesnt let them go. I want to be free and enjoy my life. I want to enjoy my family, my kids, my relationship with my girlfriend. I just want to be happy, so Im not staying here.Rodriguez is currently in a relationship with WWE superstar?Paige, who on Monday was suspended 60 days for her second wellness policy violation. He?joined her in disputing the violation on social media. He wouldnt go as far as to agree with rumors that WWE is trying to break them apart, though. To be honest, I dont care what they say or what they try to do, Rodriguez said. We are togethher, and we are happy.dddddddddddd I know a lot of people are not happy, but regardless of whatever people say, we can be happy. We can be together. And we are going to stay together because we are happy.Rodriguez was a no-show for his first post-WWE appearance Oct. 2, when he was set to perform at a major show for Mexican promotion AAA in Monterrey. The following day, he reported in a pair of Instagram posts?that he missed his flight from San Antonio because of injuries he suffered after fighting off an attacker on the street. He?posted pictures of his knife wounds.Conflicting internet reports followed and seemed to contradict his story. Asked to clarify, Rodriguez said he was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time and left it at that. He said he is working hard to put it behind him.A lot of people are asking me about it, Rodriguez said. My family was really concerned about this situation because unfortunately they have seen so much stuff out there, especially from the internet, and they dont know whats real and what is not. The reality is that I was involved in a street fight with a guy who disrespected my girlfriend, the female wrestler Paige. I had to do something about it, and everybody knows what happened after.Rodriguez, who just returned from an appearance in England, said he plans to work mainly in Mexico in the near future, but he also said talks are already in the works for select U.S. dates with Ring of Honor, where he wrestled between his WWE stints, and TNA.I already talked to my friends from Ring of Honor, and Im a big fan of that company and their talent, Rodriguez said. I had a blast a few years ago, and Im going to have fun with all those guys again pretty soon, as well as doing something with my friends in TNA, especially because my friend Drew McIntyre [Galloway] works for them. I have other friends like Damien [Sandow, a.k.a Aron Rex] and Cody Rhodes. Im just looking forward to doing an appearance with them pretty soon.Retiring at the age of 40, which hell be in May, was always Rodriguezs plan. His new idea of how hed like to end his career will extend it for one additional year, and he cites his love and passion for the business as the primary factors in his changing his timeline. For me, it has been the same since day one: Every time I go [into the ring], I come to give my best, Rodriguez said. If Im going through difficult times in my personal life, if Im sick and if Im tired, [the fans] know Im going to give them the best match of the night. Im not one of those guys going to places just to collect money. Even if its in front of 500 people or 20,000 people, I give them my best. Thats going to be the same until my days are at the end in pro wrestling. ' ' '

While Wiggle It Jiggleit will be in attendance for Saturdays $225,550 U.S. Pacing Championship, race 11 of 16 on the afternoon program at The Meadowlands, owner George Teague Jr. is here due to a commitment more than anything else.I made a promise to Jeff (Gural) to bring the horse here for Hambletonian Day and Im honoring that promise, said Teague about the 2015 Horse of the Year.Ideally it would have been nice to give him two weeks off, but hell be fine, he continued.Teagues commitment gave Gurals track the Big 3 for the U.S. Championship and though only seven entered, the stars are aligned.I think Always B Miki is the best right now, said Teague with an emphasis on the last two words. As for the 43 career starts over the course of three seasons for Wiggle It Jiggleit, the owner had this to say: I would say he is sounder now than he has ever been.Thats quite incredible, especially since earlier this year there were some times where his soundness appeared to be in question.Teague has never been disappointed in the horse and he continues to marvel as to just how well the gelding comes out of races that would appear to sap the strength from normal horses.Hes incredible. After the race in Saratoga and the long ship back he was up early the next morning cleaning out his feed and looking to get out of his stall, said Teague. There may be no rest for the weary, but dont count this 4-year-old son of Mr Wiggles among that group. As for Satuurdays contest, Teague reiterated that he will not talk to his son Montrell about driving instructions while at the same time stressing what he would not like to see happen on Saturday.ddddddddddddIf Always B Miki wants to break a world record, Im okay with that, just let him do most of the work, said Teague, referring to the fact that in previous races both Freaky Feet Pete (post 4 on Saturday) and Wiggle It Jiggleit (post 6) have expelled a lot of energy in the early stages only to yield to Always B Miki afterwards.Look at how many 25 and change quarters they had to go in a row, Teague said.Though Always B Miki drew inside of his fellow Indiana-bred rivals with post three, the odds are again in his favor to reach the front after the quarter rather than duel before it. Last years Cane Pace upsetter, Dealt A Winner, appears to have arrived on the exact date a year later in peak condition for trainer Mark Silva. The son of Cams Card Shark blew out a 1:48 2/5 mile against cheaper company on July 23 at The Meadowlands preparing for this event. Andy Miller will guide him from the rail.Teague confirmed that if all goes well on Saturday, Wiggle It Jiggleit will ship to Indiana for the Dan Patch on August 12. Warriors skipper Ryan Hoffman pulled rising star Bunty Afoa aside after his NRL first-grade debut and gave him one key piece of advice. If youre going to take on the line, commit. The 19-year-old Aucklander has surprised many with his seamless transition to rugby leagues top flight, impressing in an unfamiliar second-row role. But Afoa, who has scored two tries in his three NRL games, remains in awe of his more established teammates. He told NZN his fellow Warriors back-rowers have helped him transition from running the ball straight as a prop to hitting defensive gaps as a No.11.It was a dream come true when I got on, and to have Hoffy and them giving me support in that back-row position, Afoa said.Because Ive got Shaun Johnson on my side, Ive just got to commit to whatever play he gives me and take that line on because its pretty hard out the back.Life in the first grade came with challenges on and off the park, according to Afoa, but he was putting his best foot forward. His starting XIII role depended upon successfully managing injuries and recovery.Im still young and Ive still got to do the extra work to earn that spot because theres a lot of boys here who deserve the spot too, Afoa said. Its the opportunity I wanted and I took it with both hands.Hoffman thought Afoa had excelled in his role as deputy for the injured Bodene Thompson, who is expected to return in the coming weeks.I just love his attitude, hes not resting on his laurels and hes always looking to improve for next week, Hoffman said on Wednesday. Its not a position hes used to but his willingness to learn and get better is really pleasing to see.The ninth-placed Warriors head into Saturdays home match against Penrith reeling from three golden-point defeats in their past four NRL games. The Panthers, having re-signed veteran Peter Wallace and forward Trent Merrin over the week, sit in eighth on the ladder with six games to play. The match will go a long way towards determining which team squeezes into the NRL finals, with just two points separating the sides.Afoa, who made 34 tackles in his 70 minutes on the park against the Raiders last week, expects a front-row tussle at Mt Smart Stadium.Their forwards will come and play but for us, we have to play our game and put our team first, Afoa said.KEY STATS:* The Warriors have won just one of their past seven matches against the Panthers, with four of those losses by 12 points or more* The Warriors have made the fourth-most linebreaks in the NRL (5.4 per game) and also conceded the third-least metres (1358m per game)* Penrith have won just six of their 21 away games since the start of 2015Source: Fox Sports Stats Tony Fernandez Blue Jays Jersey . Haas boss Guenther Steiner admits the team is considering switching brake suppliers after another failure led to a bittersweet home race at the U.S. Grand Prix.Haas recent brake issues continued in Austin as Esteban Gutierrez retired, prompting current supplier Brembo to promise it would carefully investigate. Brembos initial statement said: it would seem that in correspondence with the front left wheel a problem in the dragging area of the disc has been identified.Steiner says the failure overshadowed the teams return to points. We had a tough Friday and Saturday so it feels pretty good, he said after the race. But its bittersweet because, again with Esteban, a brake failure, its nothing to be proud of. But Romain [Grosjean] getting into the points from 17th is an achievement and were very happy with it and it shows that eeveryone didnt give up, they carried on pushing and we got the result for it.dddddddddddd.Though the Brembo investigation is ongoing, Steiner confirmed the team is ready to test Carbon Industrie materials before the end of 2017.We will test other materials, we need to do something. We cannot keep on breaking them as Esteban was in a good position. Its the brakes. Brembo is doing their utmost to help find out but we need to as well and do what we need to do for ourselves. When asked why the team has struggled so much with brakes this year, Steiner said: I dont know, otherwise we wouldnt have it. Brembo is investigating, lets see if they find something wrong with it. We dont know what it is wrong. ' ' '

Nottingham Panthers were crowned play-off champions for a record fifth time in the Elite League era as they beat holders Coventry Blaze 2-0 in the final at the National Ice Centre. Stephen Schultz netted a first-period opener and then assisted on Kevin Quicks third-period marker, while goaltender Miika Wiikman posted a 30-save shut-out.Blaze, attempting to become only the third team in EIHL history to successfully defend the trophy, lost leading point-scorer Brett Robinson to a wrist injury in the opening minutes as they failed to break Panthers down. Canadian goalie Brian Stewart kept Blaze in the game with a number of sensational saves, but his heroics were ultimately in vain.In a fast and furious opening 10 minutes, Panthers created the better chances, with Stewart in top form.Stewart then made a stunning save to foil Evan Mosey on a breakaway, but he was finally beaten when Schultz picked up a loose puck before firing into the roof of the net at 14.53. Nottingham Panthers Stephen Schultz celebrates scoring his sides first goal Blaze captain Ashley Tait, who netted the overtime winner in the 2005 final against Panthers which clinched the Grand Slam, was twice denied by Wiikman, who also foiled Mike Quesnele.Clarke fired wide for Panthers when clean through early in the second period before they successfully killed three penalties in quick succession, with Wiikman standing strong.Indeed, Stewart came to his sides rescue by saving short-handed breakaways from Brad Moran and Mosey.Stewart made another stunning save from Juraj Kolnik, with Moran unable to convert the loose puck from the resulting scramble. The Blaze goalie then produced an unbelievable stop to somehow keep out Mosey after another breakaway before Quick squeezed the puck past him at 53.07.Wiikman made two fine stops late on from Russ Cowley to preserve his shut-out as Blaze were unable to reply. ARLINGTON, Texas -- David Lough was willing to endure a little pain to help the Kansas City Royals win. Robbie Ross hit Lough with a pitch with the bases loaded to force in the go-ahead run in the 10th inning, and the Royals beat the Texas Rangers 4-1 Saturday. Lough thought he had a broken right wrist when he left the game after getting plunked. His fears worsened when he couldnt move his fingers for about 20 minutes. Lough was finally able to enjoy the three-run 10th inning that lifted the Royals to only their second win in 11 games. "I had the X-rays and a lot of strength came back in my arm after that," Lough said. "Im glad we got the win more than anything." Ross (2-1) had only allowed one run in 24-1-3 innings this season before Saturday. The left-hander gave up a leadoff single to Alcides Escobar in the 10th. Eric Hosmer followed with a single and Billy Butler was intentionally walked to load the bases. Ross struck out Mike Moustakas and Lorenzo Cain before Lough came up. Lough was hit on a 2-1 pitch to force in the go-ahead run. That snapped Ross scoring streak at 20 1-3 innings. "Stuff is going to happen no matter what," Ross said. "I have to bounce back and get back to helping the team win." Lough left the game after getting plunked with a fastball in the right arm. The rookie outfielder tried to stay in the game but slowly walked off the field in obvious pain as he was replaced by pinch-runner Jeff Francoeur. George Kottaras, who entered the game in the ninth inning, lined a two-run double over the head of Nelson Cruz in right. The Royals had only scored 22 runs in their past 10 games and were 0 for 9 with runners in scoring position before Kottaras broke the game open. "It was a big win," Kansas City manager Ned Yost said. "(Ross) is one of their guys who has been throwing good." Aaron Crow (1-1) pitched 1 1-3 innings of scoreless relief and Greg Holland worked a perfect 10th for his ninth save in 11 chances. The Rangers had runners on second and third with two outs in the ninth but Crow retired Jurickson Profar on a foul pop to end the threat. James Shields, who had lost his last four starts, allowed one run in seven innings as he looked to win for the first time since Aprril 30.dddddddddddd He gave up five hits, struck out five and walked one. In Shields previous four starts, the Royals had only scored seven runs behind him. "I dont care about run support as much as winning the game," Shields said. "Ive got to do a better job pitching." Nick Tepesch made his first career start against his hometown team and allowed an unearned run in 6 1-3 innings. The rookie gave up seven hits and struck out two. Texas third baseman Adrian Beltre left the game after the ninth inning with tightness in his left hamstring. Beltre was injured running the bases in the fourth. Rangers manager Ron Washington said Beltre is day to day. Texas designated hitter Lance Berkman was ejected for arguing a called third strike in the first inning. Berkman took a 2-2 pitch from Shields that home plate umpire Todd Tichenor ruled was a third strike. The Rangers first-year designated hitter was tossed from the game after a brief argument with Tichenor. "I didnt think I said or did anything that would warrant the ejection," Berkman said "But he obviously felt different." Shields retired 10 in a row before the Rangers scored in the fourth. Beltre and Cruz singled with two outs. Mitch Moreland then lofted a soft single to centre that scored Beltre and put the Rangers ahead 1-0. Tepesch grew up in Blue Springs, Mo., about 15 minutes from Kansas Citys Kauffman Stadium. The right-hander needed only eight pitches to retire the side in the first and recorded nine groundball outs through four innings. Kansas City tied the game in the fifth when Lough singled with one out and scored on A.J. Pierzynskis passed ball. NOTES: Washington said Alexi Ogando (right biceps tendinitis) will throw a bullpen session Sunday. The right-hander allowed two unearned runs in a rehab start for Double-A Frisco on Friday night. Washington said the team will make the decision whether to activate Ogando after the bullpen session. . CHICAGO -- At first glance, it will be ace vs. ace on Saturday as the Chicago Cubs and San Francisco Giants send their best to the mound. But Cubs right-hander Jake Arrieta (16-5, 2.84 ERA) and Giants left-hander Madison Bumgarner (13-8, 2.49 ERA) have had some struggles of late.Arrieta, the reigning Cy Young Award winner, was knocked around in last Tuesdays start, allowing a season-high tying six runs in 6 1/3 innings against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Cubs eventually pulled out an 8-7 win in 13 innings but Arrieta had no decision. The only thing thats been amiss is command issues on occasion, Cubs manager Joe Maddon said recently. Otherwise, his stuff is the same. His numbers are fabulous.Arrieta might not quite be matching the stunning pace set last year when he went 11-0 in his final 13 regular season starts. But even a slightly less effective Arrieta remains tough to beat. His 16 victories and opponents batting average (.185) both lead the National League. His ERA is sixth and 161 strikeouts are eighth.Bumgarner has a 6.35 ERA in his last three starts, while opponents are hitting .303 in that span.Youre going to have days, a couple of starts, when youre not going to be quite as sharp, but you find a way to win, Giants manager Bruce Bochy told reporters this week. Thats what he did. Hes healthy. Hes fine.Bumgarner will come in rested for his NL-leading 29th start of the season. He collected his 13th win of the year in a seven-inning outing against Atlanta last Sunday and gave up three runs on five hits over seven innings in a 13-4 Giants win.Bumgarner is second in the league in ERA (2.49) behind Cubs right-hander Kyle Hendricks (2.09), is tops in games started (28), complete games (four) and third in strikeouts (207). His .212 opponents batting average is fourth in the league.Bumgarner is 7-2 with a 2.19 ERA in 11 career starts against the Cubs. Hes 4-0 in his last five starts against Chicago.Arrieta is 4-1 with a 1.60 ERA in five career starts -- four at AT&T Park -- against the Giants. His only previous start against San Francisco at Wrigley Field came on Aug. 9, 2015, when he allowed four hits in 7 2/3 scoreless innings in a 2-0 Cubs win.He earned a win at AT&T Park on May 20, allowing one run on four hits in seven innings of an 8-1 Chicago win.The Giants will send Johnny Cueto (14-5, 2.98 ERA) against a Cubs starter to be determined in Sundays series finale. The Cubs starter could well be right-hander John Lackey (9-7, 3.41 ERA), coming off the disabled list (right shoulder strain) after missing the last 18 games. Chaussures Pas Cher Femme . Air Max 720 France . -- The Bishops Gaiters are showing they belong among the countrys top varsity football teams. MILWAUKEE -- There are a lot of reasons the Chicago Cubs are making a laughing stock of the National League Playoff race, but their bench corps might be the teams most overlooked component.Monday, it was a pair of reserves -- Chris Coghlan and Miguel Montero -- who led the way, combining for four hits, three RBI and a pair of runs as Chicago rallied late for a 7-1 victory at Milwaukee. Were so deep, said Coghlan, who went 2-for-2 and drove in three after entering the game as a pinch-hitter in the seventh. (Manager) Joe (Maddon) picks his spots, gives guys breathers and the guys on the bench can be playing every day for different teams.Coghlan was dealt to Oakland in February but returned though a June trade and is hitting .231 in 65 at-bats. Montero began the season as Chicagos starting catcher but lost that job in August after prospect Wilson Contreras was summoned from Triple-A.I give them a lot of credit, because it would be easy to turn the dimmer switch down a bit, and they have not, Maddon said. Theyve gone the other way.Chicago will try to take another step toward locking down a postseason berth Tuesday when Jason Hammel takes the mound against the Brewers at Miller Park.Hammel snapped a two-game losing streak with his last outing, giving up just a run on three hits with three walks and six strikeouts over six innings against the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was really good, Maddon said. His stuff was very good.Hammel has thrived against the Brewers. In 14 career starrts, hes 10-1 against them with a 2.dddddddddddd50 ERA , and is 1-1 this season after tossing seven scoreless innings on Aug. 16 at Wrigley Field.Milwaukee, which had won four in a row before dropping the series opener, looks to get back to its winning ways behind right-hander Wily Peralta.Peralta had the worst ERA (6.68) among qualifiers when he was demoted to Triple-A Colorado Springs in June but since returning in early August, he has a 3.00 ERA over his last five starts and is starting to look much more like the pitcher Milwaukee had in mind when Peralta was named the teams opening day starter.Peralta took the no-decision his last time out but pitched well, holding the St. Louis Cardinals to just a run on three hits with 10 strikeouts over a season-best seven innings in a 2-1 loss at Miller Park. That was his best start of the year, for sure, Brewers manager Craig Counsell said. The slider and the fastball were both equally good. The fastball was down and heavy, the slider was certainly swing-and-miss tonight. He pitched very, very well. Hes really strung together a bunch of good starts since hes been back. Hes pitched well since hes been back, hes pitched very well. The Cubs, though, have been a bit of a nemesis for him. Peraltas faced Chicago 11 times over his career, going 3-7 with a 4.09 ERA. He has yet to face the Cubs this season. ' ' '

CLEVELAND -- The Browns are approaching a one-year anniversary. There wont be a party. When they take the field Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Browns will have gone 364 days since their last win, a 24-10 victory over San Francisco that seems eons ago.Johnny Manziel was the winning quarterback, his finest moment before being cut and hitting the club circuit.Since Dec. 13, its been a startling freefall for Johnny Football and the Browns, who are 0-12 and moving dangerously close to joining the 2008 Detroit Lions as the only teams in NFL history to not win a game in a 16-game season.Nobody wants to go winless and we only can do something about it on Sundays because thats when it counts, said Browns quarterback Robert Griffin III, who will make his first start since Sept. 11. I think everyone in this locker room is sincerely focused on this game and giving ourselves an opportunity to get that elusive win that weve been chasing. The Browns got a break from their pursuit of win No. 1 last week as a bye allowed them time to heal -- mentally and physically. The Bengals (4-7-1), meanwhile, played perhaps their best game this season, blowing out Philadelphia 32-14 to keep their fading playoff hopes from dying. Like Cleveland, Cincinnati hasnt had the season it expected and now the Bengals want to avoid the indignity of being the first team to lose to the Browns. Its a dangerous matchup for the Bengals, who could again be without star wide receiver A.J. Green again because of a hamstring injury. A loss to Cleveland -- Cincinnati won the Oct. 23 matchup 31-17 -and a win by Pittsburgh on Sunday or Baltimore on Monday night would eliminate the Bengals, and extend their streak of not winning a playoff game to 26 seasons. But first things first. The Bengals are determined not to overlook the Browns. As much respect as they have for Cleveland coach Hue Jackson, the Bengals former offensive coordinator who appeared to be Marvin Lewis heir apparent, they dont want to lose to him. They know theyre in for a battle.Youre going to get all the fight theyve got left, said left tackle Andrew Whitworth. Knowing Hue Jackson and the motivator he is, Im sure hes got them prepared for these last four weeks, that theyre going to give everything theyve got every single week. The reality is it really shouldnt be our concern because I expect our football team to be fighting the exact same way.BACK AGAIN: Griffins got four games to prove to the Browns he should be their quarterback next season -- and maybe beyond.dddddddddddd Cleveland will undoubtedly draft a quarterback in the early rounds, but might not use one of its two 2017 first-round picks on a QB if Griffin shows enough. My job is to go out there and make them believe that, he said.BUNDLE UP: With snow and wind in the forecast, the weather could have a huge impact on Sundays game. However, Jackson said Griffin told him he can handle Mother Natures wrath. It is kind of funny, he said. He has a snowball. He has a straight ball. He has a long ball. He has a lot of different kind of balls, so we are going to find out if he can throw all those balls come this weekend.KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT: The Bengals finally figured out how to get along without Green and running back Giovani Bernard, out with a torn ACL. They put their rookies on the spot and they delivered in the win over Philadelphia, with receivers Tyler Boyd and Cody Core playing bigger roles. When a guy like A.J. goes down, all of a sudden youre searching for those guys that are going to step up for you, and you end up finding some hidden gems, Whitworth said. They get in the game and the lights are on and all of a sudden they show up. That was good to see.ANDYS DANDY: Bengals QB Andy Dalton dissected the Eagles last week, completing 23 of 30 passes for 332 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. We got into a rhythm. Everybody was on the same page, Dalton said. Guys made plays with A.J. (Green) being out. The more that we are together, the better timing and feel we are going to have.Daltons has had the highest (146.8) and third-highest (139.8) passer ratings of his career against the Browns.SURPRISES FROM HUE: The Browns used rookie QB Kevin Hogan to run the ball in the October game, and he finished with 104 yards and a TD. Cleveland ran for 180 yards and the Bengals expect Jackson to have a few more surprises for them in the rematch, given he had a bye week to prepare. The last time we played them they had a backup step in and make a lot of plays, so it could be three quarterbacks, defensive end Carlos Dunlap said.---AP Sports Writer Joe Kay in Cincinnati contributed to this report.---For more NFL coverage: http://www.pro32.ap.org and http://www.twitter.com/AP-NFL. CHICAGO -- The Los Angeles Dodgers made two changes to their National League Championship Series roster on Saturday, adding left-handed pitcher Alex Wood and infielder/outfielder Enrique Hernandez?for the best-of-7 series against the?Chicago Cubs. The moves increase the Dodgers pitching staff from 11 members in the NLDS to 12, reducing their position players by one since both infielder Charlie Culberson and catcher Austin Barnes will not be active for the upcoming round. The Cubs, meanwhile, will also carry 12 pitchers as they added rookie left-hander Rob Zastryzny, who takes the place of infielder Tommy La Stella.Game 1 of the NLCS is Saturday night at Wrigley Field.Wood gives the Dodgers more left-handed coverage in the bullpen to go along with lefty relievers Luis Avilan, and Grant Dayton. Hernandez gives the club defensive versatility, as well as a way for the Dodgers to counter the one left-handed starter and four left-handed relievers the Cubs will use in the series.Hernandez did not perform well this past season, batting .190 with a .283 on-base percentage. But he batted .423 against lefties last season and has shown flashes of his ability against left-handed pitching this year when he hit two home runs in a April 15 game against the Giants Madison Bumgarner.Hernandez also started a June 1 game against the Cubs and left-hander Jon Lester, hitting a first-inning home run. Lester will start for the Cubs in Game 1 of the NLCS on Saturday. Hernandez also started an Aug. 28 game against Lester and the Cubs, but went hitless in two at-bats.Wood missed most of this season after undergoing an arthroscopic procedure on his left elbow. He began the year as a starter, but he returned to make four relief appearances in September, all scoreless. He gave up just one hit in those four innings of work.Culberson appeared in four of the five NLDS games against Washington, but he did not have a hit in seven at-bats. He had the game-ending home run on Sept. 25 that clinched the division for the Dodgers.Barnes was the Dodgers third catcher in the NLDS. He went 0-for-1, scoring a run as a pinch runner. His main contribution was as a catching insurance policy, freeing up No. 2 catcher Carlos Ruiz to pinch hit. Ruiz ended up going 2-for-4 in the NLDS, delivering the go-ahead RBI single in the seventh inning of the deciding Game 5.Zastryzny went 1-0 with a 1.13 ERA in eight games for the Cubs this year, including 3? scoreless innings at Dodger Stadium on Aug. 27. The Cubs will be carrying three catchers. The move puts four left-handers in the Cubs bullpen. The Dodgers hit .213 against lefty pitching this year. The Associated Press contributed to this report. Update: Chris Sale has been scratched for Saturday. As trade talks pick up around Chris Sale, #WhiteSox scratch him from tonights start. Matt Albers will go instead.- Ben Nicholson-Smith (@bnicholsonsmith) July 23, 2016The weekend is here, and theres plenty to be excited about.?Thats the case Saturday, as Max Scherzer, Jose Fernandez, Jacob deGrom and Sale all draw game scores north of 60. Whether youre looking to pay up for the elite or go cheap with some risky but high-upside arms, theres plenty of depth here. Plus, with all but three games featuring evening start times, its not your typical split slate. Its going to be a good Saturday.PitchingJohnny Cueto will now start for the Giants on Saturday, according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports. We have updated our matchup charts to reflect this change.EliteThere are multiple elite options you can hitch your cash-game lineups to on Saturday, but Max Scherzer leads the pack with a home outing against San Diego. The Padres are an easy target for an even a league-average pitcher, much less Scherzer, whos one of the most dominant hurlers in baseball, whiffing 11.4 batters per nine innings. When they visit Nationals Park this weekend, theyll bring with them a .288 wOBA and 25 percent strikeout rate versus righties. Scherzer has registered seven double-digit strikeout games this season. You might want to go ahead and pencil in No. 8 here. If you can afford his premium price tag, hes an ideal cash-game anchor.Of course, trying to make a case for rostering Scherzer over Jose Fernandez (or vice versa) is difficult. The only starting pitcher who can better Scherzers 11.4 K/9 is Fernandez, who registers a 13.3 K/9, the highest whiff rate since Randy Johnson posted a 13.4 K/9 in 2001. The Miami righty has also surrendered one or zero runs in nine of his last 12 starts (1.80 ERA). The Mets lineup isnt as weak as San Diegos, but they are still below average against righties while fanning at a 23 percent clip. In fact, when Fernandez last faced the Mets in early June, he tossed seven shutout innings and racked up a season-high 14 Ks. The lone negative here is that Jacob deGrom is toeing the rubber for the Mets on Saturday, meaning a win is no sure thing.Speaking of deGrom, the Mets right-hander is coming off his best start of the season, a one-hit shutout against the Phillies. A matchup against a Marlins team that has been ho-hum against right-handers this year (95 wRC+) puts deGrom in a good spot, though the ceiling is somewhat limited. The Marlins have been the second-hardest NL team to strike out this year (19 percent), and deGroms 8.7 K/9 pales in comparison to what Scherzer and Fernandez bring to the table.SolidJohn Lackey is in the midst of a rough patch. Over his last five outings, he has managed only one quality start while posting a 6.75 ERA and 1.47 WHIP. The good news is that the veteran right-hander is facing off against a Brewers team that has been brutal versus righties this year, putting up an 84 wRC+ and an MLB-worst 26 percent whiff rate. Combine that with Lackeys career-best 9.2 K/9, and this has the makings of a great matchup for tournament play.On days with short slates and minimal pitching depth, Cole Hamels is often one of the top options on the board. He kind of gets lost in the shuffle Saturday, though, with a road date against Kansas City. The Royals have been tough on lefties this season (106 wRC+) and rarely strike out (18 percent), making this a less-than-desirable matchup for both cash and GPPs.If you dont want to pay up for guys like Scherzer and Fernandez in tournaments, consider David Price, who draws a home start against the Twins. Price has been a fairly inconsistent cash option this season, but hes whiffing 9.8 batters per nine and has notched double-digit Ks in three of his last four turns. Against a Twins lineup that fans 23 percent of the time, Price carries plenty of GPP appeal.A late switch has landed Johnny Cueto on the hill for the San Francisco Giants with Jeff Samardzija pushed to Sunday. Keeping in mind this is one of three afternoon affairs, so its only available in a limited number of DFS contests, the veteran righty profiles very well for cash game action against the New York Yankees, who have done little versus right-handed pitching (89 wRC+).StreamersMike Leake, the owner of a career 6.1 K/9, has whiffed double-digit batters in back-to-back games. Part of that is due to his opponents -- the Brewers and Padres, both of whom strike out a ton -- but Leake has admittedly been more aggressive lately, and the expectation is that hell carry that same mindset into future starts. Against an average Dodgers lineup, Leake is a strong streaming option given that hes still available in over half of ESPN.com leagues. I also like him as a potential SP2 in DFS.The obvious caveats apply with rookie Tyler Glasnow, as his control has been an issue (4.9 B/9 at Triple-A) and he has only one big league start under his belt (in which the Cardinals hit him for four runs in 5 1/3 innings. That said, we also know his potential is great. Glasnow is in a great spot Saturday, facing a Phillies team that cant hit right-handed pitching (81 wRC+) and features a healthy 22 percent whiff rate. His ESPN.com ownership is just 24 percent.Colin McHugh, a free agent in 62 percent of leagues, gets a home start against the Angels. Although the Angels offense has been red-hot so far in July, posting a .362 wOBA in 16 games, it has been middle-of-the-road against righties this season. McHugh has been pitching some of his best ball over the last month, as he sports a 2.41 ERA over his last six outings.AvoidKenta Maeda has been a big fantasy asset this season, but Im staying away from him Saturday, for DFS purposes anyway. Not only has the righty battled inconsistency lately, failing to make it out of the fifth inning in two of his last three starts, but he draws a Cardinals lineup that has torched right-handed pitching this season, sporting a 118 wRC+ thats tops in the National League.HittingMatt Wisler has had trouble with left-handed bats in his short big league career (.384 wOBA), and heading to Coors Field wont help matters. It probably goes without saying, but lefty bats Charlie Blackmon and Carlos Gonzalez are great targets. Daniel Descalso, who is batting .371 versus righties this year, is also worth consideration as a cost-effective option. The lowest-ranked pitcher of the day is Ricky Nolasco, who just happens to be matching up against the Red Sox, the most deadly offense in baseball versus righty pitching this year (119 wRC+). This one could get ugly. Theyll be expensive, but the Red Sox make for a great stack. With Ivan Nova taking the mound for the Yankees on Saturday, left-handed Giants hitters register a perfect 10 rating. Denard Span, Brandon Belt and Brandon Crawford are all in play in a matchup at Yankee Stadium, which is one of the games most favorable parks for left-handed power.Keyvius Sampson is lined up for a spot-start Saturday, and DFS players need to pounce. The right-hander has pitched only in relief so far this season, but he has been truly awful in his seven appearances, sporting a 7.7 walk rate and giving up 11 runs, including five homers, in just 16 1/3 innings of work. Youll want some exposure to Diamondbacks hitters in this one.Right-handers hitters generally get their licks in against southpaw Robbie Ray, who is allowing a .357 wOBA to righty bats this season. As a result, Zack Cozart, Billy Hamilton, Adam Duvall and Brandon Phillips are all on the radar. Most likely to go yard: Brandon BeltIvan Nova doesnt handle lefties well, and Yankee Stadium boosts lefty power. Sounds like a good time for Belt to muscle up.Most likely to swipe a bag: Charlie BlackmonMatt Wisler has not been adept at holding runners on base this season, as 15 of the 16 attempted basestealers have been successful against him. Blackmon will look to take advantage. Thairo Estrada Yankees Jersey . The Brazilian goalkeeper signed a loan deal with the Major League Soccer club on Friday as he looks to get playing time ahead of this summers World Cup in his home country. Joe Girardi Yankees Jersey . Emery skated the length of the ice and fought an unwilling Holtby during the third period of the Flyers 7-0 loss Friday night in Philadelphia. The Raptors traded Rudy Gay, Quincy Acy and Aaron Gray to the Sacramento Kings on Monday, in exchange for Greivis Vasquez, John Salmons, Patrick Patterson and Chuck Hayes. With the one-day series against Australia decided, South Africa are likely to rest Kagiso Rabada in an effort to manage the 21-year old fast bowlers workload.Since the beginning of 2016, no frontline paceman has played as many matches as Rabadas 27 although his actual number of overs is lower than some of his contemporaries, such as Chris Woakes, Trent Boult and Josh Hazlewood, who have played more Test cricket in the period.Following the current series, South Africa travel to Australia for three Tests before returning home for a full visit by Sri Lanka which is followed by a tour of New Zealand.Rabada, who also had a brief spell with Kent during the English county season, will be expected to play a key role throughout that period and Russell Domingo, South Africas coach, is wary of not pushing him too hard. Dale Steyn, who conceded the most expensive figures by a South Africa bowler in ODIs during the high-scoring Durban encounter, may also be given a breather. We need to consider the two fast bowlers, Dale and KG [Rabada], they have played all three games and Kagiso in particular has played a lot of cricket over the last year so it might be an opportunity to give him a break because there is a lot of cricket to come in the next couple of months, Domingo said.South Africa will be without their hero from Durban, David Miller, for the final two matches of the series due to the groin injury he picked up during his unbeaten century. The fact the injury has curtailed his participation adds further kudos to his display at Kinngsmead where he hauled South Africa to the second-highest successful ODI chase with an unbroken stand of 107 alongside Andile Phehlukwayo.ddddddddddddThe performances of Phehlukwayo, who also claimed 4 for 44 in the opening match of the series, has been one of the pleasing aspects of the series for Domingo as South Africa try to bolster their all-round options.Allrounders are massively important to have and something we possibly havent had for the last two or three years, he said. There are four in the mix at the moment with Wayne Parnell, Chris Morris, Adile and Dwaine Pretorius all there or thereabouts so its very pleasing to have that depth in our batting line-up. They have earned their spots based on good domestic performances.Another notable aspect of the series win has been it has come without the injured AB de Villiers while Hashim Amla has only played a bit-part role having been ill for the first match - where Quinton de Kocks 178 led South Africas canter to a substantial target of 295 - and was controversially omitted in Johannesburg before he returned in Durban with an agenda-setting 45 off 30 balls to launch the chase.Hash and ABs records have been unbelievable so to win and chase down scores without those players is very pleasing and showing some of the younger guys are stepping into the breach, Domingo said. Its always important to have the next tier of players performing well. ' ' '

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Cleveland Browns coach Hue Jackson hasnt made an official decision about his starting quarterback yet, but he seems to be closing in on one. After Robert Griffin III delivered a solid scrimmage performance for the second straight day during an afternoon, non-contact workout at Ohio Stadium, the depth chart appears to be taking shape. But Jackson isnt ready to make a definitive call quite yet.Oh, Im close, very close, Jackson said Saturday. Well know here pretty soon exactly what were doing. Im going to go back and talk to the people that I trust, that I spend a lot of time with making these kinds of decisions, and well move forward. As the Browns press on in training camp, the next step is preparing for Fridays preseason game at Green Bay. And after Griffin tossed a pair of touchdowns in the Horseshoe one night after delivering a handful of big plays in a more meaningful scrimmage, he appears to be on track to claim that starting job.On Saturday, he was the first quarterback on the field and again took the majority of the first-team reps. But like Jackson, Griffin was in no rush for the Browns to solidify his standing in his battle with Josh McCown. Its just about coming out every day and proving it, Griffin said. You know, we want to make sure that everybody earns their spot, earns their keep, and thats everybodys goal every time they step on the field. They want to put their best foot forward and show Coach what they can do, and he believes in all of us.Its a lot of fun every day to just go out and prove it.Griffin is building a strong case, even if the latest evidence in a relatively low-stakes visit to Ohio States campus will pale in comparison with the tests coming up in live settings against an actual opponent. So Jackson will continue to wait on reaching a verdict, at least for now.I think Ive said every day, everybody is seeing [Griffin] get better and better every day, Jackson said. Im not surprised. Were trying to create the right environment for him to be all he can be, and I think hes working extremely hard because this is something he really wants to do. Obviously, weve still got work to do, but I think hes done a great job thus far. There are still some ladders to climb, and were going to keep climbing. Air Max 97 In Offerta . Weve seen this movie before. At the beginning of the month of November 2015, the Montreal Canadiens were 11-2-0 and had a whopping 50 goals to their credit. The collapse of the 2015-16 Canadiens was entirely pinned on a season-ending injury to Carey Price, which is mostly fair, but the Habs didnt score much after that hot start, either. In the first 13 games, they averaged 3.8 goals per game, then only 2.4 the rest of the way.Currently, Montreal is posting 3.4 goals per contest. While it would be difficult to continue to score at that pace (last seasons leader Dallas averaged 3.3), the 8-0-1 Canadiens have a chance to be one of the top Stanley Cup favorites -- assuming Price stays healthy -- if they continue to receive the type of offensive contribution theyve gotten through the first nine games of the season. Here are four reasons they will: Sean Doolittle Jersey . -- The proud fathers huddled near the Dallas Stars dressing room, smiling, laughing and telling stories while wearing replica green sweaters of their sons team. TORONTO -- Blue Jays slugger Edwin Encarnacion has dropped his appeal of a one-game suspension for making contact with umpire Vic Carapazza and will sit out Torontos final game before the All-Star break, Sunday against Detroit. An All-Star for the third time this season, Encarnacion is hitting .267 with a team-high 23 home runs. A look at key anniversaries in British Open history:150 years ago (1866): Willie Park Sr. won his third British Open at Prestwick by posting the lowest scores of the opening two rounds (54-56) to build a five-shot lead. He closed with a 59 for a two-shot victory over his brother, David Park. Old Tom Morris finished fourth, while Young Tom Morris finished ninth in his second Open. Twelve players completed the championship. All of them were from Scotland. Parks first prize was 6 pounds.---125 years ago (1891): In the final year that the British Open was contested over 36 holes in one day, Hugh Kirkaldy had rounds of 83-83 to beat his brother, Andrew Kirkaldy, and Willie Fernie by two shots at St. Andrews. Andrew Kirkaldy took a 6 at the Road Hole and had a putt to tie his brother. He wound up three-putting. Hugh Kirkaldy won 10 pounds for his only Open title. It was the third runner-up finish for Andrew Kirkaldy.---100 years ago (1916): The British Open was canceled because of World War I.---75 years ago (1941): The British Open was canceled because of World War II.---50 years ago (1966): Jack Nicklaus became the fourth player to complete the career Grand Slam with his one-shot victory over Doug Sanders and Dave Thomas at Muirfield. This was the first time the Open was contested over four days (one year after the U.S. Open went to four days), though it still ended on Saturday. Nicklaus made birdie at the par-5 17th to break a three-way tie and his par on No. 18 gave him his sixth professional major.---25 years ago (1991): Ian Baker-Finch won his only major with a 64-66 weekend at Royal Birkdale for a two-shot victory over Mike Harwood. Seven years earlier, Baker-Finch had a share of the 54-hole lead and shot 79. This time, he had a one-shot lead and made five birdies in the opening seven holes to seize control. Jodie Mudd tied for fifth by becoming the first player in British Open history to post a 63 in the final round. Payne Stewart matched the feat two years later.---20 years ago (1996): Tom Lehman, who had endured close calls at the Masters (1994) and U.S Open (1995, 1996), finally broke through with a ball-striking exhibition at Royal Lytham & St. Annes. He was at 198 after three rounds, and even closing with a 73, no one could catch him. Ernie Els closed with a 67 and tied for second, two shots behind. He remembers being in the clubhouse hopeful of Lehman making two bogeys. Sitting next to him was Tiger Woods, the 20-year-old amateur consulting Els on whether he should go pro. Tom made par and Tiger turned pro. I was (doomed) either way, Els said. Woods tied for 22nd and turned pro a month later.---10 years ago (2006): One month after missing the cut for the first time in a major, Tiger Woods won the British Open for the second straight year after holding off a strong challenge from Chris DiMarco. Woods closed with a 67 at Royal Liverpool for a two-shot victory and sobbed on the 18th green. It was his first victory since his father died two months earlier of cancer. Woods became the first player since Tom Watson (1982-83) to win back-to-back in the British Open. His 11th major tied him with Walter Hagen. Cheap NFL Jerseys . AUBURN, Ala. -- Mustapha Heron had his first career double-double -- 24 points and 10 rebounds -- Danjel Purifoy scored 16 points, and Auburn beat Eastern Kentucky 85-64 Thursday night in a Cancun Challenge game.Heron shouldered the load, but Auburn needed a team effort to keep its season-opening win streak alive. The Tigers led 10-2 but went cold while Eastern Kentucky (1-2) rallied and stayed ahead until two and a half minutes left in the first half. Purifoy hit a 3-pointer amid a 9-2 run and Auburn led 37-34 at halftime. The Colonels (1-2) closed to within 38-39 early in the second half on Jaylen Babb-Harrisons layup. Auburn pulled away on a 15-2 run and led 65-50 after a free throw by Heron and Eastern Kentucky got no closer.Auburns 34.5 shooting percentage in the first period became a scorching 56.7 percent in the second half as the Tigers broke the game open.Theyre a good team, and you cant give a team like that second- and third-chance opportunities, and thats what we did, Eastern Kentucky coach Dan McHale said. We allowed them to impose their will, and they made us pay.The Tigers (3-0) were by propelled by Heron, a freshman, who connected on all eight of his field goal attempts, but only made seven of his 13 free throws.Auburn outrebounded the Colonels 51-30, but made 25 of 41 free throws (61 percent), which helped Eastern Kentucky stay close for most of the game.I thought that we were obviously, our physicality -- the difference between the OVC and the SEC showed up on the boards, Auburn coach Bruce Pearl said. And obviously we took advantage of some things. I dont think that our offensive execution is not whhat it needs to be.dddddddddddd Were going to spend some time doing a better job with that.Nick Mayo led the Colonels with 22 points and five rebounds, and Dillon Avare added 14 points.THE TAKEAWAYAuburn: The Tigers finish their opening homestand 3-0 and head to Cancun, Mexico, on a roll.Eastern Kentucky: The Colonels drop the first of two games against Power 5 opponents and fall below .500 on the season.HE SAID ITInteresting. Weve struggled from the free throw line and we were shooting great in the preseason and we actually shot more free throws this week than we have in a while. I think Im not going to shoot any more free throws and just let them do it on their own because that could have been an issue in the outcome. -- Auburn coach Bruce PearlMAJOR MILESTONEAuburn guard Ronnie Johnson finished with 13 points, but it was a seemingly meaningless layup midway through the second half that mattered the most. With those two points, Johnson eclipsed 1,000 total points for his career. Johnson, a graduate transfer, scored 697 points in his first two years at Purdue and had 291 at Houston last year.STARTING HOTWith the win, Auburn moves to 3-0 for the first time since 2011-12. Its the second time in 12 years thats happened on The Plains.UP NEXTAuburn travels to Cancun to play Texas Tech on Tuesday for the Tigers first away game, and theyll look to keep Bruce Pearls best start at Auburn going.Eastern Kentucky also plays the Red Raiders in Cancun, but the Colonels take on Texas Tech on Saturday. Welcome to Week 11! Four teams are on bye again this week in advance of Thanksgiving week, when all teams will see action. The teams on bye this week are the Atlanta Falcons, Denver Broncos, New York Jets and San Diego Chargers. On Thursday night the Saints traveled to the Panthers, so players on those teams have already yielded their fantasy production.Injury concerns regarding players heading into the Sunday and Monday games can be critical. Each Saturday, this entry will be dedicated to each player who appears on the official weekly NFL game status injury report and how his status might impact fantasy teams. For those who might be new to this feature: Injury reports provide some insight into a players status. The NFL requires teams to submit practice injury reports several times a week, identifying the body part that is involved in the injury. This year, there has been a change in the language of injury reporting, per the league office. The most notable change is the removal of the probable designation. For more detailed information on the changes and what they mean, click here.Early in the week, the practice injury reports indicate whether a player did not practice, was limited in practice or was a full participant in practice. On Fridays, all teams file a game status injury report assigning one of the following designations: questionable, doubtful or out. The designations listed here reflect the injury reports filed with the league office Friday evening. Teams playing Monday night do not have to issue their designations until Saturday. The explanation for each designation is as follows:Out: This is the easy one: The guy is not playing this week.Questionable (Q): This remains the most dreaded player designation. By definition it means a player is uncertain to play. How uncertain is uncertain? There is no percentage or measurement scale, so this classification remains rather vague. Whether a player ends up active or inactive often comes down to a game-time decision based on how he feels on game-day morning or how he performs during warm-ups. Final inactives are due 90 minutes before kickoff.Doubtful (D): The doubtful designation means a player is unlikely to play that week. Rarely does a player labeled as doubtful end up playing, unless he experiences a major turnaround before game time. Each week in this Saturday feature, we run down a list of key fantasy players, by position, who appear in the Friday injury report, along with the injured body part as listed on the report, player status and any relevant developments or insight. The primary fantasy positions are covered (quarterback, running back, wide receiver and tight end). This year, at the end of each positional section, there is a subgroup of players: Players off game status injury report. The probable tag no longer exists, so players who would have been listed as probable in previous years are now simply removed from the report. This means there will be players who appear in the practice injury reports during the week but will not appear on the game-status report Friday, since they are presumed active for game day. They are included in this article so that fantasy owners can see where players who were on the practice injury report during the week have been upgraded in advance of the games. At the end, key fantasy players listed Friday as out for the weeks games will appear as a group.QuarterbacksTony Romo, Dallas Cowboys, back, (Q): This week, Romo did a very impressive thing: He publicly endorsed Dak Prescott as the quarterback for the Cowboys. While it was clearly a difficult moment for him, he handled it with class and dignity. Still, his health is very important for the Cowboys should anything happen to their rookie star. To that end, Romo has returned to full practices (starting last week) and is expected to be active and available as the backup quarterback this week against Baltimore. For the first time in recent memory, the Cowboys have two starter-quality quarterbacks, providing welcome insurance at a time when some teams are struggling to find just one.Players Off Game Status Injury Report:Andy Dalton, Cincinnati Bengals, right shoulder: Dalton absorbed a fair amount of punishment in Monday nights game and it left him with soreness in his throwing shoulder. He was limited in Wednesdays practice but returned to full practices Thursday and Friday. His removal from the injury report indicates there is no doubt he will start against the visiting Buffalo Bills Sunday.Andrew Luck, Indianapolis Colts, right shoulder: Luck wasnt on the injury report last week ... because the Colts had a bye. He returns to the report this week for the same reason as past weeks -- his throwing shoulder, which limited him in Thursdays session. Luck was a full participant Friday and his removal from the game status injury report, as usual, confirms he will start when the Colts host the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks, knee: On Sunday night in New England, Wilson looked his healthiest since first injuring his ankle at the start of the season. A far more mobile Wilson took care of business against the Patriots, and while the rushing yards arent yet what fantasy owners are hoping for, it appears they could be coming soon. His natural ease of running is becoming more apparent over the past two weeks. Wilson is still listed on the practice injury report because of his knee, but the visual evidence supports coach Pete Carrolls claim that he is nearly back to full health. And, Wilson doesnt even have to travel this week as he gets to face the Philadelphia Eagles at home.Running BacksTodd Gurley, Los Angeles Rams, thigh, (Q): Gurley played last week against the Jets after being listed as questionable with a thigh injury, although the yield in terms of fantasy production remained low, as it has all season. In other words, the injury was not to blame. Some folks have moved off the Gurley must-start wagon (maybe more than some), but with teams still on bye and injuries throughout the league at the running back position, some may still be considering him for this weekend. For those folks, the Q next to his name is not encouraging, especially when he was off the Rams practice injury report until Friday. Its worth noting that soft tissue injuries can flare up -- even to a small degree -- from time to time. When games are separated by just days, proactive limitation of reps can be useful. There is nothing to suggest Gurleys limited practice Friday has him in danger of actually missing Sundays home game against the Miami Dolphins. It is worth noting that this is a late (4:05 p.m. ET) kickoff, so fantasy owners who plan to use Gurley should have an alternate available, just in case.Theo Riddick, Detroit Lions, ankle, (Q): Riddick missed time earlier this season (Weeks 6 and 7 to be exact) with an ankle injury, but he has returned to play in two games since then and has proved to be effective. Coming off the teams bye week, the expectation might have been that he would be completely off the injury report, but that is not the case. Riddick was limited in practice each day and comes into this weeks game with a questionable tag. Its hard to imagine that he is in any real danger of missing this one, but fantasy owners should always be prepared with a backup when a player has a Q next to his name. Thankfully, the Lions kick off at 1:00 p.m. Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.Latavius Murray, Oakland Raiders, ankle, (Q): Murray missed time earlier in the season with a turf toe injury and now appears on the injury report because of his ankle. Although he was listed as a limited practice participant, it may have been largely proactive to preserve him for Monday night. Still, given his questionable designation, fantasy owners should have an alternate plan if he is a surprise inactive.Players Off Game Status Injury Report: Carlos Hyde, San Francisco 49ers, shoulder: Hydes performance in his return from injury last week was underwhelming, perhaps a sign that his shoulder was indeed still bothering him. Hyde managed just 14 yards on 13 carries, but the positive sign perhaps is that he was on the field for the bulk of the teams offensive snaps, more than double the number for teammate DuJuan Harris. Although Hyde remained on the practice injury report this week, he was a full participant each day. His removal from the game status injury report confirms he will play against the visiting New England Patriots in a late (4:25 p.m. ET) game Sunday.Matt Asiata, Minnesota Vikings, shoulder: The three-headed running back squad of the Vikings has seen each of its members on the injury report at some point this season. This week Jerick McKinnon and Ronnie Hillman are not part of that report, but Asiata is. Still, Asiata was a full participant in practice each day, despite being listed with a shoulder injury. His removal from the game status injury report indicates he will play Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.DeMarco Murray, Tennessee Titans, toe: Murray continues to get a day off during the week (Wednesday) to give his still somewhat-ailing toe a rest. He was back in full practice Thursday and Friday, however, and shows no sign of slowing down on game days, as his removal from the game status injury report confirms. Fantasy owners should be sure to have Derrick Henry on their rosters as insurance nonetheless.Thomas Rawls, Seattle Seahawks, fibula: There is no doubt that Rawls -- out since Week 2 with a fibula fracture -- is slated to make his return to action this weekend. The question rather is how much work he will see. Reports have been all over the map, leading to an inconclusive conclusion. While coach Pete Carroll claims he doesnt have any problem with Rawls playing quite a few plays, he also notes that C.J. Prosise did a very good job last week. This has the feel of Prosise starting, with Rawls getting his first opportunity to show where he is from an in-game standpoint and the Seahawks proceeding based on what they see. Rawls is sure to increase in value over the coming weeks, perhaps as he is able to demonstrate that he is conditioned enough to handle the workload.Lamar Miller, Houston Texans, ankle: Miller was on the injury report this week as he was limited in practice to rest his ankle. Miller is expected to play Monday night without limitation and should see plenty of action with both Alfred Blue and Jonathan Grimes out.Wide ReceiversDeSean Jackson, Washington Redskins, shoulder, (Q): Jackson missed Week 10 with a shoulder injury after coming into the weekend with a doubtful tag. His questionable status represents an upgrade, as does Jacksons practice involvement this week. After limited participation Wednesday and Thursday, Jackson increased to full participation Friday. Earlier in the week coach Jay Gruden indicated Jackson would need to be able to play without restriction in order to be available for the game. As of Friday, Jacksons status appeared to be headed toward a game-time decision, despite the uptick in his practice reps. ESPN.coms John Keim reports that the decision on Jacksons Sunday status will not be influenced by the fact the team plays just four days later (Thanksgiving game on the road against the Cowboys). Fantasy owners will want to be sure to have an alternate plan in place or simply choose another option, given that Washington doesnt play until Sunday night against the Green Bay Packers.Dez Bryant, Dallas Cowboys, back, (Q): Last week it was his knee, this week its a back issue that has Bryant on the injury report. He also was listed with a back ailment two weeks ago but played nonetheless. His appearance here does raise an eyebrow this week because he was added to the report only on Friday as a limited participant. ESPN.coms Todd Archer says there is little doubt Bryant will play Sunday given how well he was moving following the workout. Fantasy owners will want to be sure to check pregame inactives, but at this point it appears Bryant is safe for this week.Robert Woods, Buffalo Bills, foot, (Q): Woods missed Week 7 with a foot injury but returned to play in Weeks 8 and 9. Coming out of the bye week, the team is no doubt being conservative with Woods by limiting him in practice, especially with Sammy Watkins not yet ready to return. After practicing in limited fashion daily, Woods is expected to suit up Sunday, but fantasy owners will want to check pregame inactives. Will Fuller V, Houston Texans, knee, (Q): Fuller again comes into this week questionable and is expected to be a game-time decision according to coach Bill OBrien. Given that the team doesnt play until Monday night, this is not ideal for fantasy owners who may be nervous after Fuller was inactive last week. Its worth noting that Fuller did practice on a limited basis each day and according to the Houston Chronicle, OBrien has expressed optimism that Fuller will play.Jarvis Landry, shoulder and Kenny Stills, calf, Miami Dolphins, (Q): Landry was listed as questionable heading into last weeks game with the same issue and he not only played, he played virtually every offensive snap. After limited practices Wednesday and Thursday, Landry was a full participant Friday and should be good to go against the Rams on Sunday. His teammate Kenny Stills has been battling a calf issue for the past two weeks but also managed to suit up in Week 10. He followed a similar practice pattern as Landry with full participation on Friday. Stills is also expected to play this week. This is a late game, so fantasy owners should always have a backup plan in place, just in case there is a surprise inactive here.Eddie Royal, Chicago Bears, toe, (Q): Royal fought through a toe injury to be active last week, his first game action in four weeks. He suffered no apparent setbacks and participated in limited practice daily this week. With teammate Alshon Jeffery suspended four games for violating the leagues policy on performance-enhancing substances, Royal may well see an increased target share, as will?Cameron Meredith and potentially Zach Miller.Julian Edelman, foot New England Patriots (Q): Edelman has yet to miss a game despite being listed weekly on the injury report. He continues to practice on a limited basis daily to proactively preserve him for game day. This week, he travels home to California to play the 49ers. He wont miss this one.Torrey Smith, San Francisco 49ers, shoulder, (Q): Smith is on the injury report after not practicing Wednesday with a shoulder injury. He returned to limited practice Thursday and repeated the effort Friday. Barring a surprise, Smith is expected to play Sunday against the Patriots.Jordan Matthews, Philadelphia Eagles, back, (Q): Matthews missed Wednesdays practice due to back spasms. At the time, coach Doug Pederson said he expected Matthews to return Thursday. He did. Pederson also said he expected Matthews would be fine to play this weekend. Expect that he will be. That said, back spasms can be tricky and the Eagles had to make a long trip to Seattle. Plus, this is a late game (4:25 p.m. ET). Fantasy owners will want to be sure Matthews is active and be prepared to slide someone else into that roster slot if for some reason he is not.Amari Cooper, Oakland Raiders, back, (Q): Cooper was also listed on the injury report with a back strain heading into Week 9 but he did manage to play. Now the Raiders have had a bye week in between then and this weeks Monday night game, so Cooper should be in better shape. He was a daily participant in practice on a limited basis and the expectation is that he will suit up in Mexico City against the Texans. Ideally, fantasy owners will have an alternate to plug in if for some reason Cooper is unable to play.Players Off Game Status Injury Report: Randall Cobb, hamstring and Ty Montgomery, illness, Green Bay Packers: Cobb remained on the injury report earlier this week and continued to protect his hamstring by practicing on a limited basis, but his removal from the injury report indicates he is expected to play. Cobb missed Week 8 with the injury, was active in Week 9 but did nothing until very late in the game, then in Week 10 his activity increased to roughly 70 percent of the offensive snaps. The hope is that he will be more involved this week as the Packers face Washington on Sunday night. Montgomery is also expected to be active after sitting out one day of practice this week with what ESPN.coms Rob Demovsky reported as a bug, not related to his sickle cell trait.Victor Cruz, New York Giants, ankle: Cruz sat out the Week 10 Monday night game as he had hinted he might earlier in the week. This week he was a limited participant in practice daily and his removal from the injury report confirms the Giants expect him to play.Sammie Coates, Pittsburgh Steelers, finger: Coates has been dealing with not one, but two finger fractures on the same hand. That will definitely make it tough to catch passes. Apparently the Steelers are feeling better about his ability to do just that as he is off the teams injury report this week.Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona Cardinals, knee/ankle: Last week Fitzgerald racked up 100-plus yards receiving, but he also put the scare in everyone when he landed on the back of his neck. Still, that wasnt even the body part that had him on the injury report this week. Still recovering from the ankle sprain of two weeks ago, Fitzgerald also tweaked his knee, which resulted in an early-week MRI. Clearly there was no serious injury as Fitz was back in full practices both Thursday and Friday. He is off the injury report once again prior to the game, making life much easier for his fantasy owners.Tight EndsMartellus Bennett, New England Patriots, ankle, (Q): Bennett has been listed as questionable for multiple weeks since injuring his ankle. He is expected to play against the 49ers Sunday, and with fellow tight end Rob Gronkowski already ruled out, Bennett could be a target beneficiary.Zach Ertz, Philadelphia Eagles, hamstring, (Q): Ertz showed up on Wednesdays injury report as a limited participant due to a hamstring injury which then kept him out entirely on Thursday. The good news is that he returned to a full practice Friday and appears to be on track to play Sunday, barring a setback. The Eagles play in a late game in Seattle, so fantasy owners will want to be sure to have a backup plan in place.Jared Cook, Green Bay Packers, ankle, (Q): Cook has been out since Week 3 with a high ankle sprain but has continued to make strides in practice. This week he did the most work to date, practicing fully each day. The questionable tag indicates the Packers arent quite ready to guarantee his status for game day, but ESPN.coms Rob Demovsky believes Cook is likely to play. The Packers dont play until Sunday night and its hard to know just how much action Cook would see in his first game back in two months. Fantasy owners may want to look elsewhere. This space is intended for a list of key players, not including those who have been moved to injured reserve status, who are officially listed as Out for the upcoming game.Rob Gronkowski, TE, New England Patriots, chest: The ruling out of Gronkowski early comes as little surprise given the significance of the chest injury he suffered on Sunday night. He was not present for any of the teams practice sessions this week and a long flight appeared unlikely from the beginning. The hope is that he will be able to rejoin the team in practice at some point next week.Chris Hogan, WR, New England Patriots, back: Hogan had a back injury heading into last weeks contest. He was active but limited to roughly 50 percent of offensive snaps and was held without a catch. This week Hogan remained limited in practice throughout the week and the teams long trip to San Francisco may have factored into the decision to keep him at home.Jacquizz Rodgers, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, foot: Rodgers remains out of practice with a foot injury. Fortunately for the Bucs, Doug Martin appears to have gotten past his hamstring injury.Jeremy Maclin, WR, Kansas City Chiefs, groin: The injury Maclin tried to play through in Week 9 still has not allowed him to return to practice. The Chiefs ruling him out in advance of this weeks game came as no surprise. Stay tuned to see if Maclin makes his way back to practice next week.DeAngelo Williams, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers, knee: Williams underwent arthroscopic knee surgery last week and has not yet returned to practice. It would stand to reason that he will miss time beyond this week.Be sure to check out Fantasy Football Now, Sundays on ESPN2 at 11:00 a.m. ET for last-minute inactives, rankings, injury impact and more! Bradfords joint chairman Mark Lawn has branded the Football Leagues proposals to introduce a fifth division to the competition as ridiculous. The League wants to create four divisions of 20 teams below the Premier League in time for the 2019-20 season, increasing the number of professional clubs in England from 92 to 100, but Lawn is vehemently opposed to the plan.Weve had this structure for years because it has suited the majority of clubs, so why change it? Lawn told Press Association Sport. Why? What they dont understand is that currently we have 23 home games. We need the crowds. We dont get the money Championship clubs get.Losing four home games means we lose four incomes. Its not so bad for us but for teams like Accrington and York thats a lot of money. Its ridiculous.Lawn said he had not heard about the Leagues plans for a radical shake-up. They certainly havent come out and consulted with all the clubs because this is the first Ive heard about it, he added. If we were voting now Id be voting against it. The only reason I can think of is that, yet again, the Championship clubs want it.Peterboroughs director of football Barry Fry said his club had not been notified of the governing bodys intentions either.Im very surprised with all my contacts in the game that I didnt know about this already, he said. Until I see the proposals and how it affects the clubs I cant really comment.Accrington, as Lawn expected, are set to raise strong objections to the plan being implemented.Club owner Andrew Holt said he saw no merit in the Football Leagues strategy, and predicted it would be costly to Stanley. He said: I dont recognise it as a sensible plan. We want more games. Wed rather play 50 home games. We need revenue. We dont want to lose any games. I dont recognise it as having any sense. Our players will play as many games as we want. We pay them an annual salary; we want them to play games. We need the revenue. We certainly wouldnt want less games.Holt told Sky Sports News: Its got to hurt us if we lose any revenue. Im putting cash in to fill a black hole. If we have less matches and less revenue, Ill have to put more in, and Im not going to do that.If were going to play 20 times a year its hardly worth having a stadium. I cant see any sense or any logic in the proposals. Its just not going to get our support. I need them coming up with better ideas where we can get more games on and generate more revenue for our clubs. These bottom clubs dont have a lot of revenue and we need to build it, not reduce it.Rotherham chairman Tony Stewart does not think the proposals will affect his club. Its a long time in football until 2018, the proposals dont worry me, he said. Ive built a stadium and invested a lot of money in order to enjoy the fruits of higher-tier football. If I had not had that ambition I wouldnt have spent over £30million. As far as Im concerned it doesnt bother me.What I will say is there is a big gulf between the Championship and the Premier League, a great divide, and the money that is shared out is disproportionate. The problem now is foreign investors coming in and taking a gamble. Theyre mortgaging a lot of money to try and get in the Premier League and its turning into a bit of a casino. There is also a divide between the Championship and League One and Two and the gaps need filling in.Brentford chief executive Mark Devlin welcomed the discussion, saying: The Football League is to be absolutely applauded for coming up with an innovative and far-reaching approach and set of proposals. These proposals are a really good start for how we can tackle some of the problems Football League clubs are facing. He picked out fixture congestion, dips in attendances for midweek matches and player fatigue as issues facing teams.Im not saying all the proposals are workable and theyre bound to divide opinion but I look at them very positively, Devlin told Sky Sports News HQ.Devlin said any change to the current system must not adversely affect revenue streams, and expressed a preference for National League clubs joining the Football League rather than B teams from Premier League sides.Undoubtedly the Premier League may well be able to offer financial incentives to make that much more of an appealing proposition, but on a personal basis I would prefer to see National League teams, Devlin said.I think it would be much better if there are more teams serving their communities rather than B teams from Premier League sides.
