Louisville starts its four-game stint in the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament on Thursday afternoon against Long Beach State (1-2) at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Ky.The 12th-ranked Cardinals (2-0), will play Long Beach on Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. before flying to Paradise Island, Bahamas, for the rest of the three games in the tournament. The Cardinals will play Old Dominion in the Bahamas on Nov. 23, either LSU or Wichita State on Nov. 24 and probably Michigan State on Nov. 25.The Cardinals might have to play without star sophomore guard Donovan Mitchell, who came down with a fever on Wednesday.I wouldnt say hes doubtful, but hes not going to be 100 percent, coach Rick Pitino said.Pitino said sophomore Deng Adel and freshman V.J. King are preparing to play together as interchangeable players at the 2 and 3 spots in Louisvilles system. If Donovans not capable of playing, we have to go with different people, Pitino said. I dont know if wed start that way because you dont want them to get in foul trouble and not have a backup (at small forward).Despite Mitchells fever, Louisville is a heavy favorite vs. Long Beach as the 49ers are coming off back-to-back blowout losses at Wichita State (92-55) and at North Carolina (93-67).This game will help us get better, coach Dan Monson of Long Beach State said after the loss to North Carolina. Hopefully Thursday (vs. Louisville) will, too.Long Beach States schedule has ranked in the top three nationally in each of the last four years, including leading the nation both in 2012-13 and last season. The 49ers could be among the nations leaders this season as well with early-season games vs. Wichita State, North Carolina, Louisville, UCLA, Washington, Florida Gulf Coast and Kansas.Long Beach State, the favorite to win the Big West Conference in a preseason media vote, returns two preseason All-Big West players, 5-foot-8 junior guard Justin Bibbins and 6-7 junior forward Gabe Levin. The 49ers added 6-1 junior guard Evan Payne, a transfer from Loyola Marymount who averaged 18.0 points per game as a sophomore for the Lions. So far, not so good for that new 49er lineup.Long Beach State is shooting only 21.2 percent so far this season from three-point range and getting out-scored by an average of 9.0 points per game.Louisville, on the other hand, has an average margin of victory of 32 points and is shooting 46.7 percent from the field while out-rebounding its first two opponents by 15.0 rebounds per game. The Cardinals and 49ers have played twice before, with Louisville winning both meetings, 79-66 on Nov. 28, 2011, and 63-48 on Dec. 30, 2014. Jalen Hurd Youth Jersey . Third-seeded Murray had the easiest path to victory on New Years Eve, barely breaking a sweat during his 6-0, 6-0 win over 2,129th-ranked Qatari wildcard recipient Mousa Shanan Zayed. Mike McGlinchey Youth Jersey .C. -- Al Jefferson joked that he feels he can score from anywhere on the court. http://www.thesf49ersshoponline.com/Youth-Ronnie-Lott-49ers-Jersey/ . Anthony Calvillo, through 20 CFL seasons, was frequently invincible and largely stoic in the heat of competition. But underneath the professional exterior he was, and is, compellingly human. Jerry Rice Youth Jersey .Y. -- Jayna Hefford scored the winning goal Friday as Canada survived a scare with a 4-3 win over Sweden at the Four Nations womens hockey tournament. Tom Rathman 49ers Jersey . Vaives lawyer Trevor Whiffen claims the former 50-goal man wasnt provided with a copy of the claim beforehand and that he would not have agreed to the allegations made against the NHL had he been asked to review its contents. BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- OG Anunoby gave No. 16 Indiana a jolt of energy, and the Hoosiers got themselves back in sync.On a night when Anunoby had 19 points and nine rebounds, three of his teammates also reached double figures to help Indiana rout Delaware State 103-56 on Monday. The other day he played like it was his first game back a couple of times. Tonight, he played like hes capable of, Hoosiers coach Tom Crean said.By avoiding a second straight loss, the Hoosiers (9-2) extended their home winning streak to 25 games -- tied for the fifth-longest in school history. The Hoosiers (9-2) know how much they need Anunoby. When he was ill at IPFW, he was held scoreless in Indianas first loss of the season.A healthier Anunoby helped Indiana win its next two, including a nine-point upset of No. 3 North Carolina. But he injured his ankle late in that game, missed the next three and in his return Saturday wound up with his second-lowest point total (seven) of the season in another loss.If Anunoby stays healthy and plays with the passion and precision he did against the Hornets (3-10), the Hoosiers know they will be tough to beat.We knew it would be hard without OG, just because of everything he brings on the defensive end and the guys he can guard and because of his versatility on offense, teammate Robert Johnson said after finishing with 16 points, seven rebounds and six assists.James Blackmon Jr. had 18 points and Thomas Bryant scored 14 for Indiana.Anunoby, meanwhile, went 9 of 11 from the field, was 1 of 3 on 3-pointers, had a career-high four blocks, and added two steals and two assists.DeVaughn Mallory led Delaware State with 14 points and Kobe Gantz had 13, but the Hornets never had much of a chance. They have lost five of six.Less than 6 minutes into the game, Indiana already had a 20-10 edge. By halftime it was 54-30, and the Hoosiers extended the margin to 92-42 late in the game.We ran into one of them Hoosier buzzsaws tonight, Delaware State coach Keitth Walker said.dddddddddddd. After halftime, I promised the team they couldnt duplicate that first-half shooting percentage. They went from 71 percent and then we did cut it down. It went to 67.BIG PICTUREDelaware State: The Hornets, who won at St. Johns in November, were no match for the defending Big Ten champs. They are 0-33 against opponents from the Big Ten and a long way from being competitive with college basketballs big boys.Indiana: Showed again it can rebound in style against an inferior opponent at Assembly Hall. Perhaps the most impressive part of the night was the offense. The Big Tens top scoring team has put up 100 or more points four times this season.UPON FURTHER REVIEWPerhaps the lopsided nature of the game got the best of the referees, too. After Indiana called a 30-second timeout with 6 minutes to go and another stoppage 11 seconds later, the officials started to put the ball in play. Thats when longtime Hoosiers public address announcer Chuck Crabb alerted the officials to a miscue and stopped play by saying, Timeout. Thats a television timeout.ON THE ROADDelaware State has played a daunting schedule. Following two home games to open the season, the Hornets hit the road for eight consecutive games. They returned home Dec. 10 for one game, then embarked on a six-game road trip that began in Binghamton, New York, before going to Bloomington, Iowa City and Honolulu. The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference didnt give them a break, either. Theyll open with two more road games to start league play. Their next home game is Jan. 14 against Hampton.UP NEXTDelaware State: Plays at Iowa on Thursday, the third stop on its six-game road trip.Indiana: Puts its home winning streak on the line again Thursday against Austin Peay.---More AP college basketball: www.collegebasketball.ap.org and https://twitter.com/AP-Top25 .
