SEATTLE -- The Baltimore Orioles have traded infielder Ty Kelly to the Seattle Mariners for outfielder Eric Thames in a minor league deal. The 26-year-old Thames hit .295 with seven home runs and 33 RBIs at Triple-A Tacoma. He is on the disabled list with a cut on his left wrist. Thames was designated for assignment on June 22 when the Mariners activated outfielder Franklin Gutierrez from the 60-day disabled list. The 24-year-old Kelly hit .283 with 47 RBIs in 72 games for Double-A Bowie.
