SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Notre Dame cornerback Shaun Crawford?is out for the season after suffering a torn left Achilles tendon?in Saturdays 39-10 win over Nevada, Fighting Irish coach Brian Kelly said.Crawford, a sophomore, was injured in the first quarter while breaking up a deep pass on the No. 18 Fighting Irishs first defensive series. He left the field on crutches.Crawford was expected to start at nickelback last season as a true freshman, but he tore an ACL during fall camp, costing him the season.
