Through the first two weeks of the season, Dallas Cowboys rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott produced a total of 134 yards rushing on 41 carries (3.27 yards per carry). But after rushing for 130-plus yards in three straight games and averaging over six yards per carry (6.06) during that stretch, Elliott is now showcasing his enormous skill set at the position and his overall fit in the Cowboys run schemes.Using examples from the film, lets break down what changed for Elliott and how the Cowboys balanced attack on offense with quarterback Dak Prescott has created even more opportunity for the rookie to produce numbers.Struggling to find daylightIn Week 1 against the New York Giants, Elliott carried the ball 20 times for just 50 yards (2.5 yards per carry). The Giants controlled the line of scrimmage against an elite Cowboys offensive line (Elliott gained up just 1.55 yards before first contact per rush).
